In the heart of the Cisse Valley, you can relax and enjoy a lush, green setting where deer and squirrels roam in complete peace. You’ll stay in a house whose first floor has been completely renovated to accommodate 4 to 6 people. You’ll find Wi-Fi, a bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) and access to the balcony, and a second bedroom with two single beds (90 cm), a crib, and a high chair. A living room with a sleeper sofa (sleeps 2), a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Separate toilet. For outdoor living, you’ll have a large terrace (with patio furniture, lounge chairs, and a barbecue) overlooking a branch of the Cisse River and private access so you can enjoy fishing in complete tranquility.You can easily visit numerous tourist attractions such as Blois, Amboise, Chaumont, Chambord, and the Saint-Aignan Zoo. Near the national forest, you can go hiking and mountain biking.

The Cisse Valley is perfect for walking, biking (with many trails), and fishing. It’s also an ideal spot for observing local flora and fauna. With its natural attractions, the valley is also centrally located among the region’s top tourist destinations. Blois (10 km): its castle, the Maison de la Magie, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and its summer events; Chaumont (11 km), with its castle and Garden Festival; Amboise (30 km), with its castle, the Clos Lucé, and its Saturday morning market; Chambord (30 km), with its castle, park, and observation points (deer rut in September), and Saint-Aignan (44 km), with its zoo and pandas.

Chalet in the Forest

Charming chalet in the forest with all mod cons. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the terrace when the weather permitted. Ideally placed for visiting the local chateaux. We had a very enjoyable week.

Charming country house in forest 20 minutes west of Blois. Two bedrooms, one with queen bed and one with two single beds, extra sofa bed, central dining area with table for 6, wonderful fully-equipped kitchen with large refrigerator, bathroom with shower, spacious wrap-around terrace with grill, great WiFi and cable TV, and onsite parking directly in front of house steps. Extremely friendly hosts, easy communication and lovely area recommendations. All in all, a beautiful as well as convenient location for visiting the world-famous Loire and Cher castles combined with the peace and quiet of the French countryside!!

What a relax place

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is comfortable and has a good equipped kitchen. The beds are good and spacious. We loved the terras and the view, the many birds, and squirrels around. I counted at least 20 different birds. Here the nights are dark and very quiet. It is not 5 star luxe but 5 star nature and pleasure. Every morning fresh bread from the baker in the village. And close to all the highlights of the Loire.

Lovely house

This lovely house is located in a wooded area, very quiet, you only hear the birds sing. We were very happy with the big terrace where we stayed every night till late( we brought our own lightening strips to attach to the balcony). Kitchen is small, but everything is there and in a good condition, nothing broken. For visiting the Loire castles it is situated ideally. For biking it is also a nice area, but you must have a good condition, it is not flat!

A little bit Swiss

Lovely property in a quiet area, with very good views. Loads of outdoor space so you could catch the sun anytime. Ideally situated for visiting chateaux (if you are French) . We visited Chateau de Clos where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years, well worth a visit from a technical aspect, although not the most picturesque of chateau. There was much information about places to visit The property was very well equipped and all the appliances worked ( didn’t try the oven though) Shower room was clean but would maybe benefit from a makeover. Vincent and Francois were very good hosts

Less of a chalet. More of a cabin!

Less of a chalet, more of a cabin! Kitchen nice and well equipped, but lounge was gloomy and not particularly comfortable. Shower room and toilet unwelcoming and cold because towel rail not working. Other heating was good. Bed comfortable. Could not find directions to house and as it was dark created some concern, luckily google maps helped.

On arrival we found an awful musty/unclean smell throughout property, kitchen not cleaned and crawling with ants. Fridge had a nasty smell, we spent first evening cleaning whole kitchen to make it habitable. Toilet is in a broom cupboard and very smelly. Whole property is dark and miserable, not somewhere I would choose to spend my holiday. There are no wardrobes, nor anywhere else to hang clothes. No curtains either. Vrbo describe this place as “Exceptional “, it’s not even Acceptable and should never be on Vrbo offer list. If we had not already paid a lot of money for this rental we would not have stayed.

Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez passé un mauvais séjour. Cependant nous le sommes d'avantage encore que vous ayez attendu d'être derrière votre écran pour faire part de vos reproches, alors que nous sommes venus vous rencontrer et que vous ne nous avez rien dit. Concernant la propreté de notre logement comme nous le faisons nous même nous savons qu'il était fait et correctement. Je vous informe que ce n'est pas le site qui donne le classement des locations mais les personnes qui l'ont loué. Cela fait plus de 15 ans que nous louons et c'est la première fois que nous avons un tel retour (comme vous pouvez le constater dans les nombreux avis). De plus je vous conseil la prochaine fois de regarder la description du logement en effet notre maison est entourée d'arbres et la nature est là aussi avec sa faune sa flore et ses insectes. Je vous rappel que nous vous avons fourni le nécessaire pour les fourmis quand nous en avons eu l'information. L'hôtel en ville serait peut-être pour vous une destination plus adaptée.
