Vaima Studio - modern Studio 12 steps from the deck on to Vaimaanga Beach, a very quiet unspoilt area and a truly stunning lagoon!

With Kayaks, Snorkel Gear to explore the lagoon - this 2km strip of beach on the quieter 'south side' is becoming famous due to the Turtle Tours further along the beach. There are swimming 'holes' right in front of the beach area and the lagoon is pristine and full of marine life incl the occasional turtle passing by.

We have created a relaxed child free environment where you can sit on your deck and leave the world behind! Air Conditioning and Free Unlimited WIFI are included.

Easy 2 minute walk to Wigmores Super Store for all your grocery and food requirements. Best Pizza on the island ' Southside Pizza' as well as aTakeaways available next door to Wigmores. There is a cafe across the road from Wigmore's for coffee. Access to the Cross Island Walk is a few kilometres walk from the Studio.

A short stroll from the Vaka is the famous Vaima Restaurant for beach front dining.
Car Rental is also 500m away - Go Cook Islands hire cars at reasonable rates with pre booking recommended.

A 10 minute walk will take you to the start of the Wigmores Waterfall track - a gravel track ending at a waterfall (if its been raining) as well as the start of the Cross Island Walk (Needle).

Another short walk option along the beach from your Vaka will take you to the now famous Turtle Tour beach where you can take a guided tour in the lagoon to swim with the turtles!

Fantastic in all respects, and getting even better: on the last day of our stay a batch of new kayaks arrived equipped with back rests. This makes kayaking a lot more pleasurable experience.

Just had 5 nights at Vaima studio , fantastic little place to stay, very quiet, very clean and fantastic beach so close..Even though on the otherside to town its 100% worth it to stay here... We will be back!!!

Beautiful beach with great snorkeling

We stayed for a week. Super nice place. We snorkeled on several other beaches but found right outside of our studio was the best. Grocery store and restaurants within an easy walk. Pizza shop next door has really good pizza too. Filtered and UV treated water on a separate tap in the kitchen was super convenient. Loved it!

Beautiful stay. Clean, tidy, and everything you need for a comfortable holiday. It isn’t beachfront as we initially thought, and there is a large double story unit directly in front of the view to the beach. However, we enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway spot!

The two weeks we spent at this studio were very relaxing! A few steps to the beach, tidy and spacious interior not to mention the outdoor space with a very good BBQ, excellent communication with the hosts Adam and Sarah who also provided us with a number of tips navigating around the various hot spots on the island... what more can you ask for on a holiday? Book in now!

A beautiful place to stay

We had a 5-night stay at Vaima Studio and found it to be perfect for the two of us. It's not quite beachfront, which worked out well because we had some welcome shelter when the wind turned southerly. The accommodation is beautifully presented with a very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and well-thought kitchen. A great deck with BBQ and outdoor furniture finished off a perfect holiday space. Watching the whales go by was a bonus! Adam and Sarah had put together a booklet with some great recommendations for eating and activities. They were also very responsive when I asked if there was a safe to keep passports in, providing a secure facility the very next morning. The location is ideal both in terms of the beach (great swimming, snorkelling, kayaking and paddleboarding just a few steps away) and being so handy to Wigmore's store for groceries, with a rental car business a further minute walk down the road. We were very pleased with our decision to stay at Vaima Studio and would absolutely recommend it to others.

There are so many accommodation choices on Rarotonga now, with the many b&b's, batches and houses for rent.
What makes the Studio stand out above the rest is :
1. the Studio is set 12 steps from the golden sand at Vaimaanga, one of the quietest un populated areas of the island that remains resort free. There are no roads or long walks to the beach , its 12 steps!
2. The price per night is super value to be steps from golden sand, you can pay the same and be up the hill on the back road. The Studio is on a beach front section!!
3. For that great rate per night you get a modern recently constructed property. There are kayaks to use and there's always plenty of snorkelling gear to grab and use.
4. Us ! We often hear from guests who have stayed elsewhere in the past about and hear stories about bad hosts, the photos do not match the property or places managed by property managers dealing with dozens and dozens of properties who they never see or hear from.. Well we keep things small so that we have the time for you so that we can personalise your stay and be around for a chat and some advice, we are always contactable during your stay and usually always stop by to say Kia Orana and have a chat, these are the differences that set us apart and make your holiday extra special !

Our guests that stay in the Studio love the closeness to the lagoon and the huge bonus of having one of the best restaurants on the island a short stroll away to enjoy cocktails, dinner on the beach with the sand between your toes.

The Studio itself is self contained, private, modern and airy and has everything you need to make your stay comfortable including a real comfy King Bed!

What makes the Studio stand out is where it is situated. The sunsets are incredible and can be seen off your deck, the beach is right there with no roads to cross and is quiet with golden coral free sand and great for walks when the day is ending.
