Two cozy bedrooms, each with a Casper The One premium foam queen mattress and closet space. A bright bathroom with walk-in shower serves these rooms. Extra pillows, linens, blankets, and towels ensure a comfortable stay.

KITCHEN
A skylight brightens this completely renovated open kitchen with modern white shaker cabinets, quartz countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Fully equipped with everything you need for effortless meal preparation, plus our complete coffee setup: Nespresso Original machine (complimentary pods provided), drip coffee maker, Italian Bialetti moka, and kettle.

LIVING ROOM 1
An expansive open-plan space where a 20-foot window wall frames spectacular Highland Lake views. The comfortable lounging area features a large couch facing both the lake and a 50-inch smart TV, while the dining table comfortably seats 8 for memorable meals with a view.

This versatile space includes an IKEA Vallentuna sleeper module (31” x 78”) and a queen-size air mattress available upon request. Please select the exact number of guests when booking to ensure accurate pricing, as we charge extra for groups larger than 6. Note: these additional beds are in the open lounge area without window coverings (limited privacy and light control).

Natural light floods the space, enhanced by an all-around Sonos sound system for the perfect ambiance. Modern comfort is assured with air conditioning and smart Nest-controlled heating/cooling throughout.

LIVING ROOM 2
Gather around our grand stone fireplace in this intimate retreat, where soaring cathedral ceilings create a lodge-like atmosphere. The perfect spot for cozy evenings with hot cocoa, game nights, or quiet moments with a book - our favorite room for snowy winter days and cool autumn evenings.

MORNING LIGHT & SUNSETS
Start your day watching the sunrise reflect off the lake from your wall of windows, creating a spectacular natural light show. As evening approaches, the lake transforms into a canvas of colors - our terrace offers front-row seats to breathtaking sunsets over the water.

OUTDOORS
Your lakefront paradise unfolds in layers: start with the convenient parking area for up to 5 cars (with EV charger hookup), then descend to a spacious terrace where cushy sofas and a dining setup invite alfresco meals and lounging by the BBQ grill. The crown jewel awaits at lake level - an expansive deck with a private dock where a cozy fire pit anchors the lounge area. Unwind in your private Nordic hot tubs Retreat SE (seats 4-5) or outdoor sauna (seats 3) - the perfect après-ski retreat or peaceful morning ritual. Your personal fleet of watercraft (4 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, 1 canoe, and 1 inflatable boat) stands ready for year-round lake adventures, all included in your stay.

LAKE LIFE
Highland Lake is perfect for both active adventures and peaceful moments. Start your morning with a quiet paddle, spend the afternoon swimming or exploring hidden corners by kayak, and end the day stargazing from the dock. The lake is great for fishing — catch bass, sunfish, and more right from your private dock.

Our property sits on the Main Lake in a private community with five lakes and seven sandy beaches to enjoy. The water is usually crystal clear and perfect for swimming. Occasionally in midsummer, weather conditions can cause algae to appear, which may temporarily pause swimming — but never boating or fishing.

The Main Lake has only had a few brief advisories in many years, and with multiple lakes and beaches nearby, you’ll always have a beautiful spot to swim, paddle, and relax.

EVENING ENTERTAINMENT
Whether it's movie night on the smart TV with lake views as your backdrop, sharing stories around the grand fireplace, or filling the house with your playlist through the Sonos system - evenings here are as memorable as the days. Pour a glass of wine, grab a book from our collection, or gather the family for board games while the sun sets over the lake.

CHILD FRIENDLY
Family memories start here with thoughtfully provided essentials for your little ones. Available upon request: a travel crib (pack and play, 25 x 35 inches), highchair, baby tub, children's dinnerware, kid-sized table and chairs, plus indoor and outdoor toys – all complimentary. These items are stored in the basement (accessible via hatch door) and we ask they be returned there before checkout.

We've prioritized safety with secure guards for both the fireplace and stairs. The master bedroom easily fits two adults and two travel cribs (one complimentary crib available upon request).

For date nights or adult activities, local babysitting services can be arranged (inquire for rates and availability).

POWER OUTAGE PROOF
Ever had a storm turn your perfect vacation into a scramble for hotel rooms? Not here. Our whole-house generator activates automatically during power outages, keeping your vacation running smoothly - lights, heating/cooling, hot water, wifi, and kitchen all functioning for days if needed. While other rentals might go dark, your lakeside retreat stays cozy and connected, no matter the weather.

SAFETY
For your safety, there are security cameras on the property (none of them inside the living space or looking inside the living space).

- Outdoor cameras monitoring the outdoors (none of them looking inside the house, terrace or dock for maximum privacy)
- Cameras inside the basement monitoring pipes, machinery and spaces where guests are not permitted to enter.

QUIET TIME & NOISE AWARENESS
Sound travels far over water - please be extra quiet outdoors 10 PM - 8AM, the entire lake community can hear late-night noise.

Noise violations result in fines from the community association that we will pass on to guests.
