Start your day with an espresso at the breakfast bar or out on the sunlit deck, and head down the private path to Culburra Beach to sink your toes into the golden sands of one of the South Coast’s finest beaches in less than a minute. Swim, surf, or just float in crystal clear water and dry off under the shining sun whilst the kids splash in the waves.

Shower off the sand in one of the two outdoor showers, and enjoy lunch cooked in the modern kitchen or out on the BBQ deck. After eating, the kids will be entertained in either of two entertaining areas with TV, DVDs, Netflix, a gaming console and board games, whilst the adults sink into relaxation across multiple outdoor decks. Grab some cold ones and the blutooth speaker and enjoy the spa directly outside the master bedroom, or get some privacy by taking a book out to one of the loungers or deck chairs closer to the beach.

On a chillier day, enjoy the heating and read or write in the upstairs study with marvellous ocean and bush views. The video door intercom will ensure that no one will stay locked out, and a self-contained apartment adjoining the house will give separate couples the extra privacy they need.

When the weather is perfect as it often is, enjoy the beach and some fabulous bushwalks, head down to nearby Penguin Head with its breathtaking view off the headland, or explore the local shops and restaurants. There’s so much to see and do, and so many different ways to unwind. However you spend your time in this beautiful vista, Illaroo will ensure you’ll make happy memories to last a lifetime.

Important Information:

- Please note: The property is suitable for 6 adults/3 kids only given the bedding format for guest safety. The bunks are not suitable for adult use so therefore we cannot accept bookings with more than 6 adults.
- This property is NOT pet friendly - no pets allowed and surcharges may apply if this is not adhered to.
- Please note that one of the queen bedrooms (the 4th bedroom) is in a separate studio at the side of the house separate to main house. There is no internal access to this.
- We supply a number of basic pantry items at each property. We are, however, unable to guarantee the availability of all pantry items. 3 toilet rolls are supplied per bathroom. You may wish to bring additional supplies with you.
- Internet in regional areas can be inconsistent and uninterrupted supply is not guaranteed. We will not provide compensation for failure or unexpected unavailability of internet services.
- Whilst the majority of properties provide access to streaming services, guests may be required to log in via their own accounts.
- A small amount from every booking is donated to local charities — a booking with Professional Holiday Homes supports local communities.

We enjoyed our stay at Illaroo Beach House, especially the easy beach access and the spa, which was a lovely bonus on colder days. The host was helpful and responsive. We stayed with grandparents, so the multiple levels and stairs were a bit inconvenient, and the hot water ran out after several showers. Overall, a comfortable stay in a great location.

Beachside Bliss

Loved hearing the waves all day and all night. Coming from Canberra, I miss that after growing up near the beach years ago. Illaroo is so close to everything, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. This place would be amazing for several guests or a family with plenty of space to kick back and relax. Being just me, I love having the space all to myself.

Weekender with Spa (by the sea and bush)

Spa was the highlight, being able to relax in the spa by the bush setting with complete privacy. Ultra quiet. Private style road leads to the entrance. Bed was comfy. Shower was great. About 2 min walk to beach with your own private beach access directly off the rear of the property. Coffee and shops only a quick 3 min drive away. Very easy access via lock box process.

Great location on the dunes

Direct access to the beach from your private bush track. Peaceful, private and sheltered location. House is comfortable and well-equipped. The site is steep with lots of internal stairs which some might find challenging. We enjoyed our stay and are happy to recommend it to others. Would suit families with older children.

Very peaceful, and can hear the ocean from inside the house! Kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked which is a massive bonus. The spa was amazing, the outdoor areas were great for reading or relaxing. Great location, perfect coastal hideaway but the local woolies is still only a 4 minute drive away. Only issue my group had was the hot water in the bathrooms played up, but Professional Holiday Homes were very helpful in sorting out the issue. Overall, loved it, would stay again, the house was beautiful!

Amazing Holiday home

Illaroo is very well managed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed with extended family and were pleased the location and accuracy of the listing. It was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in June and even though there is central heating, every room had additional heaters to make the stay comfortable. The views are amazing and its barely a few mins walk to the beach. You can spot milky way on a clear winter night. We did some amazing astrophotography. Only thing we missed was a outdoor fire pit. Overall very happy with the Illaroo and hope to return back soon.

Great - But….

Nice home, beach is very accessible, more than enough activities to do on site. Not a great selection of takeaway places nearby. When the heating gets sorted I would rate this as excellent. The portable heaters were ok but really need to be improved on. We stayed in the first week of July. Otherwise it was great!

Simply stunning!

This house is amazing! We spent a very short weekend here - 4 adults and 2 kids, and it was perfect for all of us. Unfortunately it rained all of Saturday and we were very comfortable lazing around the house and chilling in the outdoor spa (we brought our own gazebo as there is no shelter). There was lots of space, we never once felt cramped or that we were on top of each other. We wanted for absolutely nothing! Everything was provided from linen, bath towels, extra pillows & blankets, outdoor cushions, books, loads of board games, a Wii + games, loads of DVD's & CD's for the kids, table tennis, bikes, beach toys and a kitchen that has everything you can think of +++. The booking agents were amazing. Very responsive, very friendly, helpful & pleasant to deal with. There was construction work on the house next door, but we must have lucked out as we heard them for about 15 mins on the Friday arvo and that was it, so no issue at all! Very happy, just wish we had stayed longer.....

The place was great for a getaway spot, we had a wonderful time. Had an issue with the hot tub during our stay we were disappointed we wouldn't get to use it, we called the property manager who was so helpful and had someone out to fix it so we could still use during our stay. Highly recommend 'Professional Holiday Homes'.

Wonderful holiday house. A short walk from being on the beach. Very relaxed feel. And the hot tub in nature makes unwinding so easy. The one downside we experienced was the insufficient central heating, which was disappointing for a winter stay. However, the team at Professional Homes ensured heaters we delivered for each room ASAP.

We work in a people business and very infrequently things go wrong - if this happens we will do our best to rectify the situation immediately. In busy periods it may take us a few hours to get to messages so picking up the phone is the fastest and best way for us to provide you with the support you need in an urgent situation.

As we are a licensed real estate agent you can be assured that all properties are fully insured, meet fire safety standards and are registered with NSW planning.
