Welcome in Le Chalet de la Croix de Bois in Serre Chevalier, made of local larch and flagstones, flooded with sun all day long and absolutely quiet! The wide bay windows of this contemporary but traditional chalet and the large terrace (27 mÂČ) will allow you to enjoy it all year long... If the weather is bad, a great fire in the fireplace will warm you in a comfortable and welcoming setting; while your children can make all the noise they want in the dormitory, without disturbing you - small sitting room with a plasma screen TV and Xbox (bring your games and movies!). Keep in touch with your work if needed (as little as possible!) thanks to the Wi-Fi internet connection. All mod cons: iPod/iPhone dock, Nespresso coffee machine, induction hobs. (Please note that you can rent other apartment in the chalet for 14 persons, reference 959529).

Wonderful Chalet for a Family Summer Holiday!

The chalet is very spacious, modern and perfect for family holidays. The views from the large balcony are wonderful, we had several bbq's sat outside with the stunning mountains in the background. The location is excellent with very easy access to the mountain hiking, biking and rafting. We've had many holiday's in the French, Swiss and Austrian alps, but this was one of the best! Perfect location and fabulous Chalet!

Had a great time here with loads of fresh snow during our stay. Slopes easy to access by car or frequent ski bus (just 2mins walk away). People very friendly and helpful. Accommodation has very good facilities, we cooked in each night. Carrefour not fay away. Real fire was brilliant. Would definitely come here again!

Vacances en famille avec 2 enfants en bas ùge (2 et 5 ans) période COVID

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Les plus: le séjour donne sur le jardin et de ce fait les enfants peuvent sortir jouer dans la neige pendant que nous restons à l'intérieur à les surveiller, le dortoir des enfants, la cheminée, le haut standing du logement globalement (chalet en bois et pierres, etc...) Les moins: devoir prendre la voiture pour aller au pied des pistes et aux commerces. Je recommande !

Lovely property

Great property located short drive from ski lifts. Courtesy shuttle bus arranged by Gilles with ski hire shop was an unexpected but very welcome bonus. Would highly recommend the property.

Absolutely epic week's skiing at Chalet de Bois, now thinking about a summer trip!

We had one of our best week's skiing ever - a cracking place to stay in a really good resort. We will certainly be thinking about returning some day in the future. The Chalet was in perfect working order and beautifully furnished. The fireplace was one of the best log-burners I have used and very easy to control and quick to get going after a long day on the slopes. Gilles was the perfect host and gave us lots of advice on which restaurants to try etc. My only regret is that we didn't have time to try all the ones he described as there were just so many to choose from. The ones we did try were fantastic, in Monetier and Villeneuve. Having the bus outside the chalet made things very easy and I dont know if its the resort or if we were just lucky but we had the best know I have ever enjoyed, with enough sun on 4 of the days to come back with a bit of a tan! Great spot for a winter BBQ, highly recommended! :)

Schöne Wohnung mit Schönheitsfehlern

Die Wohnung ist modern und wertig eingerichtet. Auch die KĂŒchenausstattung ist umfangreich. Gut gefallen hat uns der Wohn-/KĂŒchenbereich und die große Terrasse. Die Schlafzimmer sind etwas klein. Leider erreichen die SanitĂ€rbereiche nicht das sonstige Niveau: Es steht nur ein winziges WC ohne Abluftmöglichkeit zur VerfĂŒgung. Eines der zwei BĂ€der verfĂŒgt lediglich ĂŒber ein winziges Handwaschbecken, an dem man sich kaum vernĂŒnftig waschen kann. Weiteres Manko war leider die mangelnde Sauberkeit, wir mussten die Wohnung beim Bezug vor allem in der KĂŒche erst einmal selbst reinigen. Bei dem Preis der Wohnung eigentlich ein no go.

Un coin de Paradis

Nous avons adorĂ© ce petit coin de paradis et bien profitĂ© de la station et du chalet. Les enfants Ă©taient aux anges avec le jardin et leur mini-dortoir. On revient quand ?

En vacances avec notre petite fille de 3 mois, nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© de pouvoir nous reposer dans ce chalet traditionnel et contemporain Ă  la fois. Tout y est, Gilles nous a mĂȘme prĂȘtĂ© son lit parapluie et tout le nĂ©cessaire nous permettant de voyager plus lĂ©ger. Il nous a aussi donnĂ© de prĂ©cieuses informations sur les ballades et les restaurants de la station (pas ou peu de ski pour nous cette annĂ©e avec BĂ©bĂ© !) Un bien bel accueil et un magnifique chalet au calme.

Chalet tres bien concu

Ideal pour sejour en famille (4 adules + 4 enfants cohabiteront sans probleme). Le chalet est recent, agreable a l'oeil, pratique, bien expose, au calme et bien concu. De surcroit, il est propre et bien entretenu. Il est aussi accessible facilement meme apres de fortes chutes de neige. Tout le confort necessaire est disponible. Le proprietaire du chalet est charmant. Les pistes de ski, commerces et restaurants sont accessibles par navette ou voiture en tres peu de temps. Nous reviendrons !

We always come to Serre Chevalier, even if we know many other stations in Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Hautes-Alpes. Our family settled in Fressinet and we have many many friends that have chosen Serre Chevalier for their second home.
The station of Serre Chevalier is the largest and the better equipped of South Alps. No more waiting time in the aerial lifts thanks to an output unequalled in the area. 250 km of slopes and an extraordinary off-piste domain (non-professional). The sun shines almost all year long and there are breathtaking landscapes.

Our chalet, designed by a renowned architect, was conceived to enjoy at most the exceptional sunshine of the region. 7 meters of bay windows and panoramic windows in the living room allow enjoying it all day long.
