This cottage is perfection!This is our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back again! The first time was in the summer and we enjoyed the amazing sandy beach, swimming, and fishing! We loved that they included a canoe, 2 kayaks, a stand up paddle board and a pedal boat! We used them all and had such a great time!This second time was a winter stay and it was magical. We enjoyed trying out the complimentary snow shoes in this winter paradise! We went to the Sandhill lighted winter walk which was beautiful!Beautiful location. Gorgeous interior, spacious with wall to wall windows overlooking the lake.Everything is newly renovated and updated. There was so much attention to detail. The decor was lovely and inviting.The kitchen very modern, and fully equipped for preparing meals. We had everything we needed and more. The view of the sunsets was stunning, and it’s on a large private lot surrounded by cedars. It was convenient to have two full bathrooms for our group. They were both very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and we loved that all the linens and towels were provided. With all the extras it’s a great value. Everything was provided for us, even coffee tea, soap, toiletries, firewood and propane for the bbq! Ruth was an excellent host and had everything clean and in place when we arrived. We can’t wait to come back to this little piece of heaven!

Lakeshore Oasis - Utterson

Excellent location. Some cleanliness issues (mostly the 'bunkie') ... Shower plumbing 'squeals' very loudly - the kids were afraid to use it! ... Beds and fixtures are getting dated and showing the signs of wear and tear.

I‘m glad you enjoyed the location. That is great to hear. There is a gorgeous lake view with beautiful sunsets! It is a premium location on the lake. We were happy to meet you and your adult children and chat with you when we came to bring you extra firewood on two occasions and help you get your campfire started. We always aim for 100% customer satsifaction. The housekeeper had thoroughly cleaned the entire cottage and bunkIe for 6 hours before you arrived and I had checked it personally before you arrived and it was spotless. There is also a video taken before each guest arrives showing each room and the condition of the cottage and bunkie. It showed everything was perfectly clean and up to our high standards. I would have hoped if there had been any issues you could have let me know when you were there and we would have been more than happy to address them for you as we always want our guests to have a wonderful cottage experience. We always go the extra mile to ensure our guests are happy and would have done so for you, given the opportunity. No one before or after you had ever mentioned the shower making a sound and I am sorry to hear your adult children did not make use of it. Many guests including my own family have used the shower before and after your stay without any issue. It is a lovely spacious bathroom with a shower that functions perfectly. The cottage is newly renovated with brand new light fixtures, furniture, new decor, beds and mattresses. Many guests have commented on the wonderful sleep they have had and one guest even asked what kind of mattress we have so they can get one. Our guests have consistently mentioned how beautiful everything is in the cottage and how much they have enjoyed the lovely finishes and their luxury stay. We wish you all the best.

A portal into expanded time and space

My daughter and I had a wonderful time in Ruth's beautiful cottage. We had more than what we needed and Ruth was incredibly hospitable and helpful, making us feel truly cared for. We loved venturing out by ski onto the frozen lake and through the nearby forest. My daughter enjoyed ice climbing close by. We had everything we needed to cook and create our meals. The hot tub under the stars was a very sweet way to end the day. It was so quiet, the beds comfy and we slept deeply. Thank you Ruth

Peaceful & Relaxing Getaway

This is the perfect place to stay any time of the year… the picturesque view of the water was so peaceful and relaxing. It had everything we needed and more. So much space yet so cozy. Wish we would have stayed longer. Loved all the details prior to check in! Made everything very friendly and inviting.

Beautiful cottage

We enjoyed our stay with family. The cottage is on a quiet and great location on water. It was cold so we didn't get to do a lot of water activities but we enjoyed the views of sunset and bonfires. The cottage was well equiped and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend to families. Would definitely like to come back in summer time
