I've never done a bad review until now.
We found several live spiders in the house and also under and behind the bed. The dresser drawer had mouse droppings in it and there was black mold on the refrigerator seal. The inside and outside of the fridge was dirty. When I went to bed the bed felt damp and it was very unpleasant. The front door didn't have a lock so all I could do was latch the screen door. Not real secure. I don't like to write this, I just wish I was informed. The only plus was the closeness to Silver Falls.
We are sorry to here that you were disappointed. The house is a 1929 farm house that is in good condition however occasional spiders are unavoidable.
We have occasionally had mice as well. We are winning the war on mice but it is an ongoing project every fall. We will certainly remind our cleaning service of your findings. The refrigerator was cleaned before you arrived and inspected by Sarah and met her approval. It is old and there is some rust in areas. Beds can feel damp in Oregon at times, all the bedding was washed and dried and fresh on your arrival. The front door has a latch on the screen door and can lock with a old antique key but most guests have not bothered with that.
Loved our stay, close to town plenty of room nice cozy place! Perfect home away from home for the weekend
Fantastic Home with Beautiful Landscaping
We really enjoyed our weekend at your home. It was large with plenty of room to spread out. We had read the other reviews before renting and would like to report that we did not see ONE bug. Also, the water seemed fine to us. I never felt dirty after a shower and I never smelt anything. The nursery was AMAZING! We are from AZ and have nothing like that around here. Thank you for sharing!
Comfortable old home
Comfortable old farmhouse feels like going to Grandma's, right down to the lace curtains on the windows. Nothing fancy but the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fine for our needs - making coffee & reheating leftovers. We loved exploring the tropical nursery when it was open for retail - great prices on cool plants! The only thing I didn't like was the downstairs bathroom which doesn't have much legroom in front of the commode. My knees were not happy but my two companions had no problem.
I’ll be back
Awesome older home with plenty of character, very close to town, loved our stay
Beautiful place to stay
Beautiful property and simple but comfortable home. Pots and pans need to be replaced. They are in very bad shape. Wi-Fi is not available which could be a problem for a lot of guests.
Thanks for your review. Just to clarify, the wifi works on the deck but not in the house.
