Nice peaceful place to stay, close to quiet beach. Owners have thought of everything when it comes to knowing what amenities guests would want. Would come back again.

The cabin was nice but the toilet and shower was not hygienic. Its located in a bsck yard of the owners and they watch your every move. No privacy at all. Whats worse is they threw me out for washing linen. Really mean controlling people. Sad because the cabin was very comfortable and drdpite being in a flight path, it was quite peaceful.

Annete and Ray were very thoughtful and generous hosts. The property was perfect for two and we felt very much at home. The guide books were very helpful and the taste of Austrlia snacks were so nice, We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so very much.

Outstanding beach area in Cairns suburb

New guest house, pleasant and attentive owners, very comfy space. Brilliant pool, easy public transport or Uber, peaceful neighborhood with nature reserve behind.

A joy to stay

Visiting the area again for an annual sporting comp, we booked here because it is close to the comp area. The welcoming hosts were there to say hi and show us around the cabin. Lots of room for my husband and I absolutely everything we needed and more. Super comfy bed :) No TV but that didn't bother us-there is an iPad there for you to use. The supermarket and bottle shop and restaurants are close by. We give it 5 stars!

Excellent Accommodation

A well equipped, immaculate beach guesthouse. The location of the guesthouse was a great base for exploring the area around Cairns. The pool was fabulous to cool off in each day. The hosts were friendly and very helpful making our stay a perfect holiday get away.

Great Cairns holiday stay

Clean, comfy and compact. Bed very comfortable and great shower. Lovely garden view. Good location for Cairns city and further sightseeing. Hosts very helpful and friendly, made us feel very welcome.

A True Beach Haven

If I could give this property 10 stars, I would! First, it is a perfect jumping off spot for travellers with a car to easily day trip to Cairns, Port Douglas and beyond, or the Tablelands, but is nestled in a quiet community with small shops, cafés, etc. just outside of Cairns. The property is private, meticulously maintained, and is equipped with quality - from the linens to the kitchenware - and everything you might need to start your stay has been thoughtfully supplied. The owners are very friendly and very kind, and are great fun to have a chat with! (If we didn’t live on the other side of the world, I think we’d be here every year!) Thank you so very much, Annette and Ray, for making our stay with you a memorable one!

Outstanding property

The attention to detail was exceptional. The property is close to Cairns airport, the beach, Kuranda Railway/ Cablecar and Tablelands. Ray and Annette are wonderful hosts and the unit was furnished with everything you would need for your stay. Enjoyed a dip in the pool and sitting by the outdoor fireplace in the evening.

This is my fourth booking in Cairns and the only one I was ripped off. On the other three I got 2-3 more space and half the price Plus one quarter the cleaning free. Other owners also helped by driving to grocery stores etc. because of an outside problem it was an emergency booking for me and only stayed 12 hours but still charged the minimal 2 day rate and the entire outrageous cleaning fee. Her cleaning fee was 3x higher than other homes that I stayed at for over a week. Post pandemic price gouging. The neighbor dogs barked that afternoon , the planes started over head at 4 am, I could hear the owners entertain quests all evening though I needed to be up at 5 am to catch a flight. It is no where near a bus stop, groceries are a 30 min walk. The owner talked about her protocols but I felt like I was paying for her cutesy decorations and not a convenient friendly location. Again I paid less than half for much better in other areas of Cairns.

Beautiful stay, great location, and friendly hosts

We absolutely loved our stay, Annette and Ray were wonderful hosts! We had everything we needed, plus a little chocolate surprise was waiting for us in the fridge (perfect for my sweet tooth!) The guesthouse is located in the perfect location, close to cafes and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again during our next trip to Cairns!

We stayed 4 nights at the guesthouse and could have stayed longer. Annette and Ray are wonderful and generous hosts, the guesthouse is comfortable and quiet and has everything you could possibly need. We were very pleased that we could park our camper trailer off the street. Would certainly return on our next visit to Cairns.
