Driftwood, is a newly renovated cottage on beautiful Balsam Lake Only 1.5 hours from Toronto. It is situated on a point giving outstanding views in all directions. Beautifully decorated interior featuring a large living room with a spectacular sunset view and a huge patio that cantilevers over the water. Park your boat at our dock or use the new canoe or tandem kayak to explore the lake. Balsam Lake boasts clear, fresh water suitable for swimming, fishing, and water sports.

We had such a great time at this cottage, very clean, looked exactly like the photos, talking with the host was very easy and very fast to ever get a hold of him if I had any questions! We will be back for sure!

This beautiful cottage has the prime location on the beautiful Balsam lake!

Beautifully Design cottage, newly updated and super clean. This property is 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend it for all ages. The host was amazing and super helpful and we hope to come back to this amazing place one day.

Such an amazing location, beautiful scenery! Was the perfect location for a relaxing weekend. Tyler was amazing and very helpful with any questions I had leading up to and the day of check in! Cottage was amazingly stocked and super clean. Would highly recommend and will personally return again!

Balsam Lake cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse cottage, on MacDonald point, on Balsam Lake! The cottage is nicely renovated and fully stocked. The deck is right on the water to enjoy beautiful sunsets. The dock is long and easy to access for an aluminum fishing boat.

Amazing property. Inside of house recently renovated, all top end finishes. Views from the deck and dock were unparalleled. location was quiet - great place to relax and unwind. house on a point - can't see any neighbors - huge plus.Tyler was very responsive and accommodating to all our needs.Deck/dock get full sun from about noon till sunset. Could use a few more umbrellas for shade - Tyler did offer to bring them over.great to watch the wildlife and waterfowl.Sunsets were unbelievable.water was crystal clear - great to just jump in and go for a swim.We will be back to Balsam lake in the future.

The key was the service provided by the host, responsive, effective, friendly and generous. The space provided an exceptional cottage get away. The deck, dock and view are awesome. Some equipment, i.e. kayak not great. Worth the visit. Thanks Tyler

Overpriced

Lovely location, nice dock. Clean inside. The property has some water issues. Got to wait over five minutes for hot water. Low water pressure and as a result no dishwasher, no ice maker, poor shower. Outside the furniture is well used and the BBQ hasnt been cleaned in a very long time. Overall we were not impressed and checked out a day early. Not worth the 660 a day price tag.

Great location

It was a grey stay, it was a little confusing since there are two buildings on the property, but it was quickly resolved. The only critique is there weren’t enough life jackets and paddles and life jackets for the kayaks. Tyler did try to get us some but did not provide as mentioned. Other than that it was fantastic!!! Thank you

When we got to cottage there was no heat ( outside temp was -20) it took several hours to bring inside temp up to 60. At 8 am the next morning inside temperature was 50 and took till 2 pm to get back up to 60 . Had family bring us 2 heaters to get 67. We had a 4 years old and an 8 month old, so very uncomfortable. The shower temp was very inconsistent, cold, very hot , back to cold again. For a brief shower. Outside walkway was not shivered, only salted, no one had shoveled in recent days. Either at main door or front deck. Lots of salt which only melted that area. No mats for door way so snow meltin left water on the floor. Had to used towels. Have contacted host with no response

Million dollar view

My siblings and I really enjoyed our stay. We spent our youth in the 1960’s in Driftwood Village and we enjoyed the walk around the neighbourhood and reminiscing. The cottage was wonderful, clean and inviting. The views on the deck were spectacular. Would love to return one day.

Beautiful Well-Appointed Cottage

The cottage itself is clean, renovated, and comfortable. The property has incredible lake views. I can’t recommend this place enough!
