Gorgeous cottage, tucked behind the Wentworth Falls Lake, overlooking bush reserve. Set directly on the walk around the Wentworth Falls lake and an easy walk to the Wentworth Falls village and Golf Course. Located close to many of the incredible bush walks the Blue Mountains has to offer.
Consistent 5-star reviews - come and see for yourself!

Self-contained, with 1-bedroom, full kitchen, built in laundry and ensuite. The cottage has a 50-inch television & WiFi.
Included is a continental breakfast consisting of fresh bread, fruit, coffee & tea.

Things to note:
- access to the Cottage is from the driveway, which is on an incline.
- There is an off-street parking bay available with sensor lights or on street parking.

We had a lovely weekend staying at Josephine’s Cottage. The property is very well set up, comfortable and quiet. Our dog was also happy… we had some good walks in the streets and around the various mountain villages. It’s a pleasant stroll to get to Wentworth Falls Lake, and a short drive to get to the village for a coffee and something at the German bakery that is probably not good for the waistline!I would definitely consider staying at this property again.

A beautiful little couples retreat on a quiet street but short drive to eateries and coffee. Extra goodies were left for us, champagne, chocolate , bread butter and eggs. A delightful weekend away. Would definitely stay again

Perfect for a weekend away

A clean, comfortable and cosy cottage in a private and well-located area. Good communication from the owners and lots of thoughtful touches - even turned on the heaters and lights in the cottage while we were driving up from Sydney on a cold Friday night. Would recommend Josephine's Cottage to friends and family!

Lovely warm and relaxing stay

Josephines Cottage is a new, stylish and comfortable place to stay in Wentworth Falls. Plenty of space and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Close to great bush walks and dog walks (but no secure outdoor space), and short driving distance to Leura and Katoomba. Very easy check in/out process and easy comms with Sandy.

Perfect stay at Josephine’s Cottage

We had the most perfect stay at Josephine’s Cottage. The Cottage is modern yet cosy and has just about everything you could need for your stay. Super sort drive from Leura and other attractions. Weekend away

We stayed after receiving positive comments from our daughter and son-in-law. The welcoming gift, wine, was nice. the place airy and light with food TV, Wifi, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom amenities. Thank you and we certainly will try and stay again in the future when travelling to the Blue Mountains.

Amazing Short Stay!

I can’t be more impressed and satisfied with Josephine’s Cottage! The host is so friendly, helpful and informative. The interior is so clean and comfy, exactly like what you see in the photos. The location is perfect with a lake and bushwalk nearby. It’s also within close driving range to Leura, Katoomba and Blue Mountains National Park. Highly recommended and we will definitely book with you again if it’s just the both of us travelling. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Refreshing break!

Everything you need

Property is well located within walking distance to Wentworth Falls Lake and a hsort 3 min drive to supermarkets. The place is tastifully decorated, clean and cosy. They have absolutely everything you need! Thank you Sandra for the amazing stay, we enjoyed the cheseboard idea and our little dog loved his toy and his bed :)

Beautiful getaway :)

Surprised my partner for her 40th birthday and Josephine’s cottage didn’t disappoint. From the easy check in process to the little surprise of chocolates/bananas / bread /wine etc . Very cosy /warm and clean . All that we needed was there . The king bed was immaculate. Location fantastic . Didn’t meet Louise in person but was able to contact her easily through email . Would recommend staying here 💯 and bonus we were able to bring along our baby ( Nutella ) dog .. Thanks again ..

Very disappointing

Unfortunately this property was recently bought by new owners and following my most recent stay in June 2023 I will not be returning again. Such a shame as I had always enjoyed my stays at the cottage in the past.

Linda. This was your 2nd stay with us since we purchased the property. Unfortunately on both occasions you have left the cottage in a disheveled and untidy state. We trust that guests staying in the cottage and bringing their dogs respect our policy to ensure that any mess is cleaned up. This was not the case with your stays as dog urine was found and not cleaned up. The cottage is equipped with paper towels and disinfectant and we would expect that this would have been done. We make it very clear in our listing that all ‘doggie business’ is to be handled outside and not in the house. Note - we have not charged you a cleaning fee. You will see from our many 5 star reviews that guests love Josephines Cottage and respect our pet policy. It is very unreasonable for you to rate our cottage so low when you did not respect our property. We have a lot of guests that bring their furry friends to to date have not had any issues at all.

A gem in the Blue Mountains

We arrived on a cold day and on opening the door, we were welcomed into the beautifully warm and well appointed cottage. Such thoughtfulness was evident everywhere- from the welcome basket of food and wine, heated towel rails in the bathroom and the well equipped kitchen. We were able to self cater with ease and relax in the cottage - a home away from home. The cottage also has an incredibly comfortable bed and we slept really well. It was so nice to be able to walk round nearby Wentworth Lake on the walking paths. All in all, we had a lovely stay at Josephine’s Cottage. The hosts were excellent and replied promptly to any queries. I can highly recommend this cottage if you want something a bit special in the Blue Mountains.

Wentworth Falls is such a gorgeous place to live and we look forward to sharing our love for the area with our guests. Our favourite thing about living in the Mountains is the bush. We have access to some of the most beautiful walks in the world.

Nestled in the heart of the Blue Mountains, the area surrounding Josephine’s Cottage is known for its dramatic escarpments, eucalyptus forests, and peaceful mountain villages. Just a couple of hours from Sydney, the region feels worlds away cooler air, misty mornings, and endless natural beauty.

The mountains are famous for their deep valleys, sandstone cliffs, and the blue haze created by millions of eucalyptus trees. Nearby lookouts reveal sweeping views across the Blue Mountains National Park, where waterfalls tumble into rainforest gullies and walking tracks wind through ancient bushland. Kangaroos, lyrebirds and cockatoos are common sights, especially in the quieter early mornings and evenings.

Around the cottage area, you’ll find charming mountain towns with cosy cafés, small bakeries, antique stores and local markets. Scenic drives, bushwalks, and sunset lookouts are all close by, making it easy to spend the day exploring before returning to the quiet comfort of the cottage.

It’s a place made for slow mornings, long walks, crisp mountain air and nights by the fire — the perfect setting for a romantic escape with your favourite person (and your dog 🐾).
