Why Nicole chose Blackheath
We are experienced mountaineers and wanted a weekend cottage for staying up the mountains, and to share with our two gorgeous growing boys.
What makes this Cottage unique
This is the classic mountains cottage, small and cozy with huge lofted ceilings. We fell in love with it the moment we saw it, we are sure you will too.

Gorgeous cosy cottage in quiet location
A very rainy, chilly weekend away and this cottage was beautiful! We made full use of the games, the Netflix and our new books. Looking forward to returning in better weather to do some of the walks suggested by the owners.
Great location. Well appointed house. Excellent near by walks.
Very simple and accommodating.
The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for a great mini break from Sydney.
Beautiful cottage in the Blue Mountains
The cottage was lovely, cosy and comfortable on a very chilly snowy weekend in the Blue Mountains. The kids loved playing in the backyard and exploring the playground across the road. The host was extremely helpful with everything. Would definitely recommend this property especially to families with kids!
Our stay at Dalpura cottage was beautiful.
The house presentation was aesthetically pleasing and it was very clean inside.
It was well equipped with all living needs and a very cozy home.
The gas heater was fantastic and the thick bed blankets were very warm.
Close to shops and tourist locations.
Our children enjoyed the fenced backyard and cinema room.
Thankyou for the stay!
Thanks Melissa, so glad you and the kids had a great stay. Please come and stay again any time.
Blackheath is the highest village in the blue mountains, and can even get snow in the winter time.
It is a great base for adventure activities in the mountains whilst avoiding the mainstream tourist crowds at Katoomba.
We recommend canyoning in the summer time if you have a full day available and want to do something adventurous. Think of canyoning as an Indiana Jones style adventure in world heritage national park.
The Blue mountains has over 200 world class sandstone slot canyons, and many are suitable for beginners. There are several commercial companies that will take you out and keep you safe whilst giving you a great adventure you'll remember forever.
We recommend Twister/Rocky, Grand Canyon, Fortress, or Serendipity for beginners, or Claustral for the ultimate adventure experience!
You can walk the Grand Canyon at Blackheath, but to go deeper you'll need to abseil with a commercial group. There is even a small canyon (Grotto canyon) within walking distance of Dalpura which is a must see.
There is also climbing and abseiling through the same commercial companies.
Blackheath also has world class lookouts and walking tracks. And there is caving at Jenolan Caves only an hour away.
Whether it's winter or summer time, or somewhere in between, the Blue Mountains has an adventure for you, and Blackheath is a perfect location to base yourself from.
