PAYMENT TERMS:

• 50% deposit required to confirm booking - Air 100%

• 100% required 30 days prior to arrival.

TRANSPORTATION TO/FROM AIRPORT:

• If you need transportation to your rental property, we can send a trusted driver with a van to pick you up.

• The rate is US $35 one way for 4 passengers. There is room for up to 6 passengers with suitcases per taxi. US$5 extra per passenger.

• You pay the driver directly and keep his number for future transportation needs during your stay.

ELECTRICITY IS EXTRA AND BASED ON CONSUMPTION:

• The Dominican Republic is a developing country and it has it's challenges in regards to cost effective electricity distribution. Therefore, to encourage renters to conserve electricity during their stay, they will be responsible for electricity charges during their stay.

• We collect an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT IN CASH UPON ARRIVAL. It is just a DEPOSIT, real consumption calculated at the end of your stay and deducted from the CASH DEPOSIT PAID UPON ARRIVAL. See deposit requirements below.

• Normal consumption is $5-10 per day for a 1 & 2 bedroom, $10-$15 per day for a 3 & 4 bedroom and $25-$30 for Villas in Cocotal Golf.

RENTALS LESS THAN 30 DAYS: We require an ELECTRICITY DEPOSIT (CASH ONLY-UPON ARRIVAL) of US$20 PER NIGHT for 1 & 2 BDR's CONDOS, US$30 PER NIGHT for 3 & 4 BDR's CONDOS and US$50 PER NIGHT for VILLAS in COCOTAL GOLF.

The electricity meter will be read at check-in and check out. The meter can be self monitored daily. You will be charged at the current rate and deducted from the cash deposit. The difference will be returned to you on the day of departure.

Nice, not spectacular

The place was nice--lacking a few things, but Go Punta Cana did replace/fix very quickly when we asked. The sofa really needs to be replaced, the grill is on its last legs, and I was kind of icked-out by the small area rugs that didn't seem especially clean. Seems cheap to me that they only give you a med. size bottle of water in the fridge instead of having the large 5 gal one on the cooler full (considering it's only $1 to refill and guests don't need that hassle immediately upon arrival). The rooftop terrace was great. The pool was really nice and usually empty. I was not impressed by the local/closest beach--rocky and too much sea weed. It was definitely not the picture-perfect Caribbean beach I expected in Punta Cana. For a gorgeous beach, drive 25 min north (if you have that option) to Macao Beach--public, therefore easy to access, and postcard-perfect. They are constructing more condos right across the street--be prepared for hammering noise and the neighbor dogs barking outside bedroom windows. Lunch at Citrus (by the Bam market) was delicious, but a bit pricey. The Cuban restaurant in the same plaza was a bit cheaper and good too. Overall, the condo experience was good but no "wow" factor.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback and your review. The condo is about to change ownership and plans to refurbish the condo. This will happen in the coming months. Our vacation rentals are self catering as indicated in the listing information as well as the information sent to you after booking and prior to arrival. We do provide a Welcome Kit with drinking water, starter soap, toilet paper, dish soap, sponge and handy-wipe. If you need additional items, there are several grocery stores, shops and restaurants conveniently located just minutes away. Seaweed comes and goes during different times of the year and really, really, really hard to control mother nature.

This is a beautiful spacious condo in the Punta Cana area. The unit is tastefully decorated with very comfortable sofas, dining room chairs and beds. The kitchen is well equipped with a good supply of cooking utensils, dishes and glasses. The appliances are all in good working order and very clean. There are windows on 3 sides of the unit so there is always a nice breeze circulating through the unit and the only time the AC was used was in the bedroom at night. The power bill came to around $200 USD for 7 weeks. The washrooms are very clean with a good supply of towels. The rooftop terrace is great to relax on and get some sun and has a dining table, BBQ and 2 loungers. The complex is nicely laid out with a lovely pool and a gym. The onsite caretaker named Amo was very nice and will deliver bottled water to the unit at a nominal cost. There are a couple of issues I would recommend the owner address before I would give the property 5 stars: First, the internet in the unit is supplied by a company called Silver Cable. It is very unreliable, some days you would need to reboot the modem 3 times and other days 15 times. If you are trying to do work as I was it is very disruptive. The condo complex has its own internet network supplied by a company called Claro which is the main telecom company in the DR. It is far more reliable but because it is a shared network and the router antennae are located quite a distance away the signal is not a good. I would strongly suggest that the in suite internet be replaced with Claro service. The second item is the kitchen sink. It has many rust spots on it and needs to be replaced with a higher quality stainless steel. Other than that I enjoyed the time spent at Corte Sea and would highly recommend this unit for anyone looking for an alternative to the AI resorts in Punta Cana. Finally, the staff at GoPuntaCana were fantastic as usual. Any concerns were dealt with promptly by Anny, Carla and Leiny. Well done ladi

We were very pleased with the condo. It was very nicely laid out with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen was well equipped with all the tools that we needed for making our meals. BBQ worked well although the propane valve on/off switch was a bit wonky. The condo was very clean but it would have been nice if some cleaning supplies beside dish soap had been left. The complex is only 28 units so it was never noisy even when there were kids around the pool. Nice air flow through the condo on most days so we only ran the air conditioning in the bedroom at night. Our hydro bill for 2 weeks was $60US which we thought was reasonable. Great location as it’s close to the beach, restaurants and a bit of shopping. Really there were only 2 things that we didn’t like about condo and those were the stairs to the rooftop patio and the signs telling us not to flush toilet paper. The stairs are sort of circular but not really. In our opinion, they would never meet building code in North America and were a bit of a safety issue. Not being able to flush toilet paper is just gross. And it was particularly annoying because none of the other renters we spoke to in the complex had been told that -- so why just this one unit? Go Punta Cana were great to deal with and I would definitely book with them again if returning to Punta Cana. Very professional and prompt in getting back to us during booking and during our stay.
