Wonderful cabin in the woods

Great Escape

We had a great time relaxing around the fire. The kitchen was simple, but provided me with everything I needed to cook. Enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning.

Clean & cozy

The cabin was very clean & cozy. Centrally located and easy to find. The screened in porch was awesome, though too cold to use it in the winter. We just may have to return during warmer weather!

Peaceful Retreat

The property looked as pictures described. It was a peaceful, much needed retreat. The owners reached out to confirm we were able to get checked in and see if we needed anything. We would definitely suggest this wonderful place to others looking and if we come back again.

Cabin getaway in UP Michigan

Cozy cabin in remote area that was furnished with everything that we needed. Great location close to activities up north and also to Mackinac Island and surrounding area. Had no response from Evolve with questions prior to arrival but owner responded promptly and gave some additional info that was very helpful!

Bridge Walk Weekend

I have never stayed in a cleaner cabin! I was pleasantly surprised that they ask you to remove your shoes in the cabin, which was extremely nice since we have a 14 month old. It was a great secluded location. The shower head had a lot of pressure which was nice. More short term rental folks could take notes from these folks! They had hooks everywhere. Overall a great stay.

Well maintained quiet property

The cabin is very well maintained and remote. The two bedrooms each have 2 x 2 full size bunks so quite a few people can comfortably sleep. The bedroom ceilings are open and conversations carry across all rooms. It may be challenging for groups where people would like to go to bed at different times.

Bridge Walk/book club 2023

The property was just as listed. Nice space for a large group of women. We didn't need to use the cute little stove as the weather was warm. Two of us used the screened-in porch as a bedroom--such a nice view of the stars and great breezes! Kitchen was perfect for light cooking--everything there for our needs. Plenty of towels! Even plenty of hot water for showers--for a big group!

Comfortable cabin in a peaceful setting

This was our 2nd year staying and we were very comfortable just as we were last year. Everything works well and is very clean. It’s a great place for a larger group to sleep as long as everyone goes to bed at about the same time and gets up at about the same time because the bedroom ceilings are open. For our group that was not an issue. The one thing that was a struggle is that there is no wifi. I understand the rationale, it’s a cabin and you’re there to escape. However, we all had AT&T and so had no cell signal. This made it sometimes difficult to coordinate with family members that were staying at the lake. I think Verizon may work better.

Ernest, we are so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay overall and apologize for the issues you experienced with cell service. We followed up with the owner after reading your feedback who would like to clarify the following: - Thank you for choosing to stay at our cabin for the 2nd time. Unfortunately, our internet was installed 5 days after your arrival as this was the soonest appointment. The cabin now has high-speed Internet through Starlink! It works fabulously for cell phones and Internet access. We have had as many as eight people utilizing it with two devices per person and it did not slow. We obtained Starlink Internet as quickly as we could get it in the UP. Should you decide to visit us again next year, you’ll find that it is very user-friendly and quick. - The purpose of the open ceilings is so that the heat circulates throughout the cabin more efficiently when the woodstove is burning in the wintertime. We are sorry to hear the open ceilings caused issues with sleeping arrangements. We will add this to our listing description so others are not caught off guard. Thank you for taking the time to give us a good review. We hope to see you back at the cabin next year.
