Welcome to The River Hutch, an outdoor/adventure lover's paradise. Now with a newly renovated kitchen and High Speed Internet from Starlink!



The River Hutch is located on a large 10-acre private lot with beautiful Pine River frontage. The property is paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. You will enjoy daily wildlife sightings all while surrounded by towering Birch, Cedars, and Pines. The well appointed interior offers three bedrooms and two baths on a split floor plan that provides space and privacy.



The upper level contains two of the bedrooms, one bathroom, and the kitchen that flows freely into the living room and upper level wrap around deck. The large windows and full wall of glass doors provide beautiful views from every room.



The lower level consists of one bedroom and one bathroom as well as a spacious rec room. The large rec room has a TV area with sleeper sofa, and full wall of sliding glass doors that connect you to the lower level deck. On the lower level deck, guests will enjoy a covered sitting area and porch swing.



Just a short walk from the lower deck, The Pine River offers excellent fishing right from the bank/dock. If fishing isn't for you, settle into one of the provided kayaks and paddle down the slow-moving river out to Lake Huron. Trail riders can bring their ATVs/Snowmobiles and access trails right from the cottage or trailer to one of many nearby trail heads. There is plenty of space for trailer parking and an easy turn around.



The cottage is conveniently located near all of the Upper Peninsula's sightseeing attractions. Mackinac Island (about 15 minute drive to the ferry dock), Les Cheneaux Islands (10 minutes), De Tour Village and Drummond Island (45 minutes), Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi Springs, Whitefish Point, Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and many amazing hiking/ATV/Snowmobile trails. The quaint town of St. Ignace is 15 minutes away and provides everything you need for groceries, shopping, and restaurants.

The property was as expected based on the listing. Worked well for our family of 6, 4 adults and 2 grand kids. Nice setting, extremely quiet was a good base to see some of the UP sites. We didn't atv, but the trails were very close but far enough that you could hear any noise. Would recommend for family vacation. Could accommodate 9 easily and the two living areas would be good for multi generational vacations.

Amazing family stay near Mackinaw

We had a family weekend trip at this amazing river hutch and had a wonderful time. We had plenty of space for our family of 9. We used the kayaks and brought our own too for a lovely river ride. The fire pit was lovely and we spend a lot of time on the double decks. It was in a perfect location for our day trips to Mackinaw Island, St Ignese and Mackinaw City. Thank you for a lovely adventure we definitely would come back to stay again!

The property is close enough to the main road to be convenient but far enough away to enjoy the peacefulness of nature. We enjoyed the variety of deck spaces to relax and take in the river view.

A wonderful experience in Michigan’s U.P!

We enjoyed our time at the River Hutch! The home is very comfortable and it is a very peaceful and quiet retreat. Views from all around the property are great. Would definitely stay again. Hosts were very responsive and extremely attentive.

Great quiet getaway

House is as described. Very well kept and animal friendly. Super grateful for hosts that offer well kept house for family's with pets. It's a very quiet and relaxing get away.

Perfect for our short stay!

We had decided to partake in the Mackinac Bridge tractor ride so we needed a place for all of us to stay last minute. This worked great and was just off of 75 for a quick trip back down to St. Ignace. Highly recommend for a little weekend getaway!

Shari’s Road to 60!

Check in was easy breezy and the kitchen had everything we needed! It was unusually hot outside so the cabin was a bit warm but the host dropped off portable air conditioners for us in a matter of hours. Beautiful scenery and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend!

Piece of heaven

Nice, cozy home away from home

The home was the perfect size for our family! My grandparents enjoyed having their own space in the lower level. The nature was so fun to watch every day. It was cozy enough that we decided to spend our last day in the UP at the house rather than traveling.

It rained our 2 nights here so we only could use indoor features. We didn't find any of the furniture comfortable and had to go out and buy pillows as the ones provided were very flat and stiff. Also to note for anyone with mobility issues, the steps to get to the front door and indoor steps (house is a split level) are pretty steep. Views of the river were nice and liked the fairly isolated location.

Secluded Winter Getaway

Our stay at the River Hutch was wonderful. It was a clean and cared for house, the perfect winter weekend getaway for our small family. We had originally planned to snowmobile and picked this rental for its proximity to the trail. We didn’t end up being able to trailer our sleds, but can confirm this property is right by the trails - we hope to return another winter! Our young daughter had so much fun playing with the tic tac toe board and playing outside in the snow, especially looking for animal prints! The windows at the property are amazing and we had gorgeous snow globe views the entire stay. The beds were comfy and the showers were great. Highly recommend a stay here.

The Beach Hutch provides the following amenities: Starter supply of Toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), 1 Roll of Paper towels. Guests are responsible for supplying their own supplies beyond the starter supply. Trash bags, Dish and Dishwasher soap, and Laundry soap are provided to accommodate the cleaning standards during your stay as well as light cleaning supplies necessary to maintain cleanliness of accommodation. Bed Linens. Sheets and a light blanket are provided and set out for Guests prior to arrival. Pillows are provided as follows- Queen/King Beds- 2 pillows. Twin beds- 1 pillow. Additional pillows or heavier comforters are the Guest's responsibility. Bath/Kitchen Towels. 8 full sized bath towels, 2 Hand towels, 2 washcloths, 1 floor bath mat towels are provided. Additional bath towels and beach towels are the Guest’s responsibility. One kitchen towel, sponge and oven mitt is provided. Wi-fi and TV streaming services. Directions and passwords are located in the accommodation. Clothes Washer and Dryer and Iron. If any of these supplies are missing, please let us know the day of your arrival.
