Great place for a getaway!

This is a cute, older little beach house right across the street from the public access. It’s about a 20 mint drive to the hustle and bustle, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. The beach wasn’t crowded so that was nice. We had some questions checking in, and they were quick to return our call even at 9pm.

Just perfect!!

This home was absolutely perfect! It was clean, beautiful, and an excellent location! The house had everything we needed! The location was wonderful! We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the dolphins jump in the Gulf. Being able to walk across to the beach was amazing! We will definitely be booking again for next summer!!

Worse house.

Worst house I had renter. We rent this house thinking that it would be a nice place to enjoy our vacations. As son I got there I noticed that it was a security camera place in the dining room pointing to the front door. When I called the manager,she told that the owner want concerned about the house and wanted to check it make sure body gets in there. I told her that I understand she wants to take care of her house , but I was not happy having someone whacking while I was there. I called the manager again, she told me that they will take care the next day they never called or show up. The manager blame VRBO about the security camera saying that VRBO was the one who had the idea of the camera.

This could have been a perfect vacation beach house with it's view, easy walking access to the beach, and nice neighborhood. The house itself and location were great. We didn't mind the road noise although, I didn't realize at booking what a main road it is. Our issue was 100% cleanliness. We spider this property over several others specifically because it was listed as "no pets allowed." This house was so filthy with dog hair, we were unseemly to sit on the couch appon arriving and had to ask the cleaning service to come out and clean. Coastal Waves was nice about it. A man came out with a vaccume and lint roller. The dark couch that was most obviously caked in light- blonde dog hair was usable by the time he left. The hair was hard to see on most surfaces, but my allergies were killing me the entire time. The floor was swept a dozen times and still a mound of dog hair should pile up each time. The house smelled like dog as dogs other items like the inside of driving glasses. On darker surfaces like the wooden tables and black stovetop, the hair would be visible no matter how many times i wiped it as done would just float in the air. I had to use wet paper towels to wipe the floor where i made pulled after sweeping to get a much of the hair up as I could. The broom was so embedded with hair that it wasn't much help. My 3 boys had to watch for piles of dog poop in the yard as they played. The yard had been recently mowed, but it didn't house or clear the piles.

Good location, but a little messy & misleading listing

The location of this place was perfect! We loved that the beach and street were both relatively quiet. There weren't too many people on this part of the beach, so it was easy to relax and enjoy. Some less than positive points: 1. When we arrived I tried to contact the company and it took over 2 hours for someone to call me back about my issue. 2. We arrived to a condo covered in dog hair, even though all the info we had received said there was a strict No Pets policy. While Coastal Waves, did say they would send someone back out, when we returned from shopping it was not much better than before. 3. We also contacted them about the fact that there was no remote for one of the TVs and they said we should just download an app to control it. 4. I feel like the listing is misleading when it says there is a laundry and half-bath "downstairs". While you do have to go down, you also have to go OUTSIDE! It's not like this fact ruined our trip, but it just feels like it is slightly deceptive to not mention that part. We enjoyed our stay and felt that the condo was well stocked with kitchen utensils, towels, etc. and the location was fantastic!

We apologize for your challenges and thank you for sharing them as it helps us make improvements. 1) To address our guests’ needs quickly, we provide a phone number that is monitored 24/7 to address any issues which may arise during a stay. Our office sometimes gets busy and it takes time to respond to voicemails and emails. This after-hours/emergency number ensures our current guests’ needs are met as soon as possible. We did not receive a call from you on this number. 2) This is a ‘no pets’ home for rental guests. However, we cannot limit how homeowners use their own property; they stayed at the house prior to your arrival. We take cleaning very seriously and have assigned a new cleaning crew to this home. 3) We tried unsuccessfully to find the existing remote; we ordered a new one but it needed to be a special order. We suggested the app because it would solve the issue quicker than waiting for the new remote. 4) The listing has been updated to indicate the laundry area is on the ground and is accessed from the outside. We ask you give us another try and take advantage of the returning guest discount.
