Urbanski House

The Urbanski House is a great Ocean View pet friendly home, just across the street from crashing waves and tidal pools, just across the street, (access them at low tide from the state park area just a few blocks south). Also when the winds are blowing from East/No East, watch the mesmerizing Ghost Waves in the Bay. And watching the Whales go right by, is always a thrill, especially when they are bringing their calves back down!! It's close enough to walk to the Village of Yachats or the many shops and restaurants! This house has a wall of windows to take in the fabulous view, from all of the main living room, dining and kitchen area. From the upstairs loft, there is a King bed and 1 twin bed; plus a wonderful claw foot bathtub and vanity, so you can sit in the tub and soak all your cares away as you watch the ocean! Downstairs has a separate bedroom with a new Full-size bed, plus 1 twin bed, and bathroom (with large shower stall).  For those who enjoy walking, you can pick up the Historic 804 trail near the home, which leads to Smelt Sands Park, tide pools, and wonderful geologic sites. Leave the car, since you can easily walk to the Green Salmon, Drift Inn, Luna Sea, Yachats Mercantile, and so many more restaurants and shops!!  Don't forget Fido! The Urbanski House is a comfortable, recently upgraded with all new furnishing throughout, oceanview, family friendly; pet-friendly home, and has been a family favorite for many years!

A place to relax

The location was perfect but the house was a bit run down. A bit of maintenance would be good and replacing the mattress in the downstairs bedroom would be ideal.

Awesome ocean view

Amazing location ... great views, close to park, shops and restaurants. Next to oceanfront walking path and nearby natural area. Property clean and comfortable. Our party of 4 adilts snd 2 children very much enjoyed themselves and would definitely return!

Location - Pet Friendly - Well Stocked

The wall of windows overlooking the ocean was a joy to gaze out. Loved the location as it was super close to walk to town. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need to cook with. One of the best houses we’ve rented where it didn’t smell like dogs. We enjoyed our stay very much.

In need of a dramatic refresh

While the location was nice and close to town, the property was not kept up and the pictures do not indicate the state of disrepair. I've provided my feedback to the property management company and shared pictures of the issues we encountered.

Location

This was the 2nd year in a row we have stayed in this property for the 4th of July holiday, the house itself is nothing fancy, furniture could use an update as it is not very comfortable, but in the end location makes this a perfect place to stay.

Great location!

The location of the house is great! Yachats is a great town due to its awesome vibe! The house is with a view of the ocean - sort of. Sitting in the first floor the ocean isn’t very visible - but yes from the second floor! Loved the Yachats vibe - definitely a gem on the Oregon Coast !

Great getaway

We loved this place! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals without a hassle, that was a nice touch. Loved the tub too, the view was amazing.

Great views and convenient access to everything near by. Great place to refresh your soul!!

The property is a well maintained beach house with direct views of the ocean crashing on the rocks below. There is a one way street directly in front of the house, with a small park with three viewing benches to observe the coast in every direction. The 804 trail is also in front of the house, go to the left and cross the bridge, there is stairs accessing the beach on the south side of Yachats River; to the right is approximately 1-1/2 mile path/trail along to coast to the 7mile sandy beach that will end in Waldport. Great for walks, but also close the the market, shops, restaurants, etc. The house is well equipped, we baked coffee cake, and a rhubarb blueberry crisp. We had a crab and shrimp seafood boil. Then we pan fried steaks, and made pasta sauce with the leftover ribeyes. We enjoyed the views while working on a jigsaw puzzle and being warmed by the awesome wood stove. TV easy to work. WiFi was good and was able to work while "vacationing". The upstairs tub has beautiful views, enjoyed with candle light and a glass of wine. Love that the shelf/cabinet is next to tub to put supplies, phone, towels, wine glass, candle , , only left tub after water cooled off an hour later. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxation with an ocean view

Perfect, relaxing vacation! We enjoyed watching the ocean waves from the front porch while the weather was sunny and out every window while the weather was rainy. Easy walk to coffee, groceries, and wonderful restaurants for cocktails and oysters. Definitely recommend, would stay again!

Relaxation at Max

Cute little coastal cabin! The pictures have been enhanced, but even on a rainy day our view was perfect! My husband and I watched the storm roll through all weekend; from the couch, in front of the wood burning fireplace, the clawfoot bath tub, king sized bed in the loft! It is perfect walking distance to everything in town, and if you want door dash… go somewhere else. We will be back!

LOTS of Natural Light regardless of weather

The photographs of this property are stunning. In real life it differs a little as it's a little rough around the edges. Painting the kitchen cabinets would do a great deal. Excellent location - beautiful ocean view - right on the 804 walking trail that was excellent. Loved the bathtub upstairs and the view while bathing. It's a very open house - if you crave privacy this might not be a good choice. Easy walking distance to an excellent coffee/bakery.

Missing view

Two things that the website didn’t capture that were big negatives for us. 1 there was construction tape a d fencing blocking the view of the ocean from the house. 2 the house was not at all updated. It looked like the original flooring, paint job, bathrooms etc at least 30 years old. For what we paid, we could have afforded a much nicer hotel room. We made the best of it but will not stay here in future visits.

The property definitely does not look like the pictures , which are heavily rendered. The forniture and appliances are pretty old and in bad shape, the fan was so dusty we did not dare turn it on and the dryer filter was not clean. The overall footage is small and if you are a family, like us, it would not be convenient. Finally, the code they provided for the door was wrong and I had to call Meredith to get another one. The position in front of the ocean and walking distance from cafe and bakery is nice.
