We had a wonderful stay! 6 x adults and 6 x children fit very comfortably with ample bathrooms. The living areas were also perfect with a long dining table to fit us all. Each area was beautifully presented. Everything needed was already there including loads of kitchen needs and even beach towels!
The Quarterdeck was so comfortable for our family of 13 plus a few dogs. There is a lot of space which makes it easy to spread out. The kitchen has heaps of storage and there are lots of bathrooms. We loved all the touches like the welcome gift, the well-equipped kitchen, the fireplace with lots of firewood, the candles and games. Highly recommend for a family getaway where you won't be living on top of each other and there is enough space to get some peace and quiet.
We had a large group of family including infants, teenagers, adults and dogs. The house easily accommodated us all with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, living spaces and a well equipped kitchen. Peaceful, with access to easy walking tracks with nice beaches and local shops a short drive away. Communication was good and Karly was very helpful, promptly returning an item that had been left behind. Our dogs loved the garden but it can get quite muddy with the rain so just bring extra towels for them! Thank you for a lovely stay.
I would thoroughly recommend this property, it was perfect for our family gathering of
6 adults and 4 kids.
The property is huge offering plenty of space to spread out and enjoy indoor and outdoor areas. The beds were very comfortable and bedrooms all well ventilated with added bonus of ceiling fans. The bathrooms all beautifully appointed with lovely products supplied.
Furnishings throughout are tasteful and good quality making for easy living and the well appointed kitchen was fabulous as was the 14 seat dining table.
The home is in a beautiful quiet location, and was spotlessly clean. WiFi great and included.
The team at Wandering Escapes are totally on the ball and efficient in every aspect of care and organisation. Thank you Karly.
I would certainly book this property again.

Birthday getaway
We had a lovely time but we were disappointed in a few things!
Grass was not cut and quite long so kids could not play in yard.
Toilet roll holders falling off walls in several toilets.
Advertising gave the impression the swimming bay/beach had direct access behind the house.
We feel the beach access details should be made clearer maybe even include a diagram showing exact access not just an aerial view.
We feel there could have been a swing or toys for the little kids to play.

Hi Rosetta,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, but I’m truly sorry to hear about the things that left you feeling disappointed.
I completely understand how the long grass would have been frustrating, especially with kids wanting to play outside. I’ll ensure our maintenance team stays on top of this in the future so the outdoor space is always ready for our guests to enjoy. Regarding the toilet roll holders, I appreciate you letting us know about the issue, and we’ll have these fixed promptly to prevent further inconvenience.
I also understand how the beach access details may have felt unclear. Your suggestion about including a diagram or clearer information is a great one, and I’ll make sure we revise the property listing to avoid any future confusion. Additionally, your idea of adding toys or a swing for younger kids is a thoughtful touch.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve and ensure our guests have the best possible stay. Thank you again for reaching out, and I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an even better experience.
Best regards,
Wandering Escapes
