UT Graduation! For us out-of-towners, our stay was perfect for what the family needed. It was primarily my husband and I staying at the house, with our adult kids driving in or flying in and only staying a night or two, max. The house was very comfortable and provided plenty of room on the day we were all there at the same time. The house was also the right size which made it easy enough to keep clean during our stay. :)Big Bonus was the house being in close proximity to my son's apartment and the UT campus. I would recommend this place. Thank you to the host.

We had an excellent stay at this property. The host was very kind allowing for an early check-in. Check-in and property Instructions were easy to follow and were provided in advance. We had a good snow while in town, and the property was extra cozy but a little cold in the back rooms. I would recommend bringing the logs for fireplace, if visiting in winter. A few updates need to be made, property is showing visible wear and tear, especially in bathrooms. Overall very good stay and would stay here again!

Situated in a nice quiet neighborhood, convenient to everything we wanted to do. The house had all the space my family needed. It was well stocked with everything we needed. All the comforts of home.

The property was a small home typical of the neighborhood and blended in well. Outside appeared maintained and inside was clean with the exception of the filthy ceiling fans. The place has some upgrades such as kitchen counter and appliances while keeping original cabinets and doors. Nice quiet neighborhood just off of a couple main roads. Clean working class neighborhood. No alarm system available at time of our stay. I would stay here again if it wasn’t managed by a property management company. I prefer the actual owner to answer questions through the Vrbo app. Dislike a property management company telling me to ask them for anything then instructing me to call a phone registered seven states away. If you don’t mind that sort of thing then this is a good place to stay.

We loved staying at Fern Cottage. It was perfect for our group. Cindy was always quick to respond and sent help immediately for a minor issue with the television. We stayed here because my cousin’s family used it last Thanksgiving and we will definitely return!

Split family home. We had two families, and this was perfect for us to be on opposite ends of the home. Very organized and clean. Had everything we needed and more! The owner is lovely and went out of her way to contact us regarding a neighbor seeing that our car door was left open. So very thoughtful! Thank you so much!

Holy Toledo!

It was accommodating in every way. The beds were nice. The living room spacious so we could all meet at the end of the day and visit before turning into bed. The kitchen was stocked with appropriate utensils, pans, and dish ware. We appreciated the availability ,size, and supplies of the laundry room. Property Manager was clear and precise on how to enter the house and manage the alarm system.

Convenient location. Spacious home.

Overall nice home. Management group should do a better job for the owner. Grass was tall. Dishes had been put away wet. Had to rewash our cups. 2 drawers were filled with randomness of junk. If you require a fan to sleep, being your own. House is really convenient to everything we needed to do. It has lots of extras to make things easy. Overall, would recommend the property though.

Hi Jamie, we shared your review with the homeowner, who would like to offer the following response:-Weather conditions may occasionally affect the frequency of lawn mowing, and unfortunately, this is beyond our control.-Almost every room has an overhead fan, and all but two of the bedrooms have them. Additionally, the property is equipped with central air conditioning and portable fans in each room that can also function as heaters.-Regarding the dishes, we have instructed our staff to be more diligent in their inspections. The kitchen drawers are stocked with utensils, and others contain manuals, light bulbs, and batteries for the home.We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall. We look forward to the opportunity to host you again in the future.

Could not really stay, but very responsive owner

I wasn't going to write a review but VRBO kept sending me notices. We arrived at the property to find no heat. We had to book a hotel and go elsewhere. But I wanted to provide this because I do think it speaks well of the owner. When I contacted them they immediately went into action to effect repairs. It was too complicated, particularly on a holiday, but they tried. They were communicative and helpful. What I saw of the place was clean, neat, and friendly. The area is reasonably quiet and I would have no hesitancy trying to stay there again. As a result I am posting a positive review despite my not being able to stay.
