Connollys Cottage is a charming, original, country cottage surrounded by nature but also close to the village shops. On 6.5 acre forest garden you will also have your own private garden. Great spot to relax, read and take some country walks or visit some of the sites in the Wairarapa. The night sky is perfect for star gazing on a clear night.

Lovely spot, would highly recommend

Tranquil wee spot on the fringes of town. It felt very rural and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting out in the lovely garden when the sun was out, and when it rained we enjoyed cozying down inside.

Lovely autumn holiday

Beautiful little old country cottage, a lovely garden with fruit trees and flowers. Cosy to have the fire going at night with firewood supplied. Comfortable, clean, traditional decor.

Comfortable and Relaxing

A very nicely presented old farmhouse and very comfortable beds. Plenty of books and games, though the good weather meant we didn’t need them. We would happily return.

We lòved the cute cottage. It is really nicely done. The bed linens are excellent quality and the beds are comfy. We sat out in the sun during the day and lit the fire in the evening when it got cool. The garden was gorgeous!

Carterton hideaway cottage

We had a lovely stay in this house, an old cottage way out of town. Beautiful peaceful surroundings and bird song. The house was beautifully clean and tidy with very comfortable beds. The log fire was very nice to have especially when the rain camel! Would thoroughly recommend staying here. Thanks Lucy.

A perfect Christmas getaway

We had such a lovely time in this cute house. It had everything we needed for our stay and we had the best Christmas here - the kids’ room with the old fireplace was perfect for the Christmas stockings. The garden is ramshackle and perfect for the kids to explore, they loved it! They didn’t want to leave. Thanks for providing all we needed for our stay, we were truly able to unwind and relax.

LOVELY COTTAGE

The description is 100% accurate. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful trees, very quite and private. It had everything we needed. Loved the fire, especially on the chilly evenings. Will definitely be back if we are in the area again.

Very attractive cottage with everything we needed. Lovely cuddly towels and crisp sheets. Cold weather so made the most of the large fire box and generous wood supply. Very quiet. Pleasant hosts located next door.

Cozy cottage. The heater in the bathroom was a bonus. Nice to have electric blankets on the 2 double beds.The bathroom basin area was very small, nowhere to put your toiletries and nowhere to put your clothes. The tap over the basin needs to be sorted, it’s not stable and the water goes everywhere

Great stay

Only gripe was, we had an issue with ants. They were all through one of the beds, and in spots all around the house. Have told host so hopefully they sort it. Otherwise perfect stay.

Super spot for girls weekend

We all loved this place. The garden is full of fruit trees and and 'secret garden' charm. The bedrooms were simply and beautifully decorated with very attractive bedcover, good quality sheets and very comfortable beds. The living room cosy and very comfortable.
