Harlem Hideaway Studio Apartment

Su propio escondite Harlem privado. Un tranquilo oasis de ensueño para su ajetreada estadía en Nueva York. Disfruta de la vida en una casa de piedra rojiza de 1895 en uno de los barrios históricos con más encanto de la ciudad. NOTA: Esto es sólo una de las cuatro unidades singulares del edificio. También tenemos Garden Apartment, Parlor Apartment y Guest Room.

El Harlem Hideaway Studio es un apartamento estudio completamente amueblado. Se encuentra en el primer piso de una histórica casa de campo de piedra arenisca privada en el codiciado distrito histórico de Mount Morris en Harlem.

El interior completamente blanco con techos de 12 pies y una vista de un frondoso jardín lleno de árboles te pondrán al instante en un estado de ánimo pacífico.

Ingrese desde la escalera de entrada a través de la adornado tallada en madera de entrada de arco y te sentirás como si sólo ha retrocedido 100 años en el tiempo. Todos los detalles originales de roble muestran el encanto de la historia suavemente desgastada. Siga recto a su propio apartamento por la puerta 10 'entrada.

Este estudio es muy especial desde el momento de abrir la puerta. Los techos de 12 'crean un ambiente especial y la habitación totalmente blanca lo dirige a observar la belleza del tranquilo jardín privado con hermosos jardines, al que tiene acceso completo. Dado que es en la parte de atrás del edificio no oye ningún ruido de la calle.

El apartamento está amueblado con muebles de gama alta, tales como un sofá de cuero Corbusier original y acero bruto espejo de cuerpo entero, una cama matrimonial (colchón de espuma de memoria) y la cama se levanta. También un televisor de pantalla plana inteligente de 42 '' gira hacia fuera para verlo en cualquier lugar del apartamento. El área de la cama es de moqueta para una más exuberante sentimiento íntimo. El reproductor de radio / iPod tiene un iPod lleno con la lista de reproducción de jazz y blues Harlem Hideaway. La cocina tiene una estufa / horno de gas de 4 fuegos, microondas, horno tostador, tostadora, cafetera, refrigerador de congelador inferior de acero inoxidable y está equipada con café y té. El refrigerador tiene una jarra de agua filtrada. Coma debajo de la enorme luz colgante de gran tamaño que se encuentra al lado del original estallido en blanco y negro de un libro de ciencia antiguo.

Comfortable apartment, great neighborhood, terrific owner

The studio apartment is very small but suitable to my needs. The bedsheets and towels are high quality and the bed is comfortable. Small sink in the kitchenette but doable if you're not doing much cooking. The one drawback is the very small shower. Dennis, the friendly and helpful owner, plans to add a smaller and more flexible showerhead, which will help somewhat. Other than that, it's a delightful apartment and I'd be happy to stay there again.

Harlem Hideaway Studio

This is such a beautiful place to stay when you are in Manhattan. Harlem is lovely and vibrant and this studio is perfection! It is quiet and peaceful, looking out over the back yard at the next row of browns towns on 129th street. Yet, when you walk out the front door of the building, you are surrounded by great restaurants, the wonderful Cafe Latte for breakfast, Art Deco Lenox Lounge for drinks and musin, ansd of course, the delicious Red Rooster a few blocks north. The furnishings are comfortable and tasteful, with everything you could need. There is a modern kitchen and great bathroom. The art work is charming and lots of interesting books and Harlem related memoralbilia. My new favorite place to stay in NY.

Excelent apartements, stunningly decorated, with beautiful objects and good taste

We passed a month in Harlem Hideaways. The longest stay was at the Studio which is very confortable and nicely equipped, as well as carefully decorated, with a lot of contort although it's small surface. Its full of light, has a good bed, huge TV with cable, correct wifi system, a whole kitchen with all the needing utensils to cook and a lot of courtesy of our host Dennis Decker who alway has coffe sugar salt oil condiments tea for the guests as soon as you arrive. ( as well as cleaning materials) There was something to be arranged at our apt and Dennis offered kindly his two major apts as a replacement for those days. The Parlor which is big decorated confotable and with a huge kitchen divinely equipped ( dishwasher convection oven microwave etc) outside street view big enchanting windows, and the Garden: a gorgeous place where to spend a holiday! Enormous bedroom, devine living room with a extraordinary kitchen included. Spectacular decoration and furniture and its own small patio garden. Dennis is an excellent host and a very good person, who takes care of his guests and business with charm and responsibility. We are eager to recommend this Harlem beautiful house and to come back soon. Thanks a lot Dennis. Diana Rona and Bob Frassinetti

Una experiencia auténtica, en un ambiente agradable y situado fuera de la zona turística, pero muy bien comunicado. Ideal para empaparse del auténtico ambiente de la ciudad. Un alojamiento acorde con su entorno, te hace sentir uno más del vecindario. Con un anfitrión sensacional, amable y atento con sus huéspedes. Recomendable 100%. Apartamento equipado con todo lo necesario, cocina y utensilios básicos, baño con ducha y secador de pelo, plancha, nevera, horno, microondas, tostador, hervidor de agua, cafetera, tv con muchos canales, equipo de audio con radio,calefacción, aiire acondicionado y una cajita que el propietario ha preparado con diversa información de la zona, restaurantes con sus menus, planos de la zona, lugares de interés, etc... Supermercado a unos 300metros, farmacia y parada de metro muy cercanas. Lo más destacado de la zona bajo mi punto de vista, son las numerosas iglesias a las que puedes asistir sin problema a disfrutar de sus misas gospel. Y también muy cerca el famoso central park. Repetiría sin ninguna duda.

I ALWAYS stay at Harlem Hideaway when I visit NYC. Dennis is such a pleasant, professional, accommodating host. The property has easy access to subway to get anywhere in the 5 Burroughs quickly. There are tons of restaurants, wine stores, and delis close by. It's like being at home away from home and I'm from TEXAS!!!!

My Harlem Hideaway Exprience

An absolute treat to be able to visit NYC and stay in a beautiful brownstone. Very Clean with great amenities such as, towel service, fully stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator, a very comfortable large bed, large tv, cable, music, and lots of closet space. There's great art work uniquely placed throughout the brownstone. Truly a home away from home and I had an awesome time relaxing here. I'll definitely be back. Thank you Harlem Hide Away!

Perfect apartment with great restaurants around

We really enjoyed our stay in Dennis' apartment which looks exactly as on the pictures. The street is nice and quiet, but everything you need is there: supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and bars for everybody's taste! Around Halloween time when we were there, the houses were imaginagery decorated. After long trips through NY we really appreciated the great and comfortable mattress and clean bet linen. We will be back for sure! Thank you, Dennis for everything! S&A

Harlem Hideaway was definitely the perfect choice

I consider having been able to stay at a brownstone such as Dennis's a real privilege. The Studio is beautifully decorated, quiet, equiped with a bag full with useful information and within walkable distance of many of the places you are surely interested in visiting. Of course staying in Harlem implies having a whole different outloook of New York, and that was welcome to! To sum it all up, I sure hope I'll come back to Harlem Hideaway ...

Fabulous!!

The Harlem Hideaway was absolutley perfect for our New York Holiday. We loved everything about the accommodation and the area. It was fun sitting on the stoop in the evening and chatting to the passers by. Location was excellent with the Subway a short walk away.

Great location and Dennis is super helpful!

So glad we picked this place. Dennis has lived in the area for many years and told us about all the best places to eat and visit. The apartment is very comfortable, nice bed, very clean and surprisingly quiet. We loved it!

My out of town guest cancelled so my fella and I decided to have a staycation in his place. The entire building is a Victorian treasure. Our studio apartment was spotless, quiet, lovely and completely comfortable. I hated having to leave.

The property was PERFECT! Ideal space for a couple if staying in is on the agenda.

The property was enough space for my wife & I. I'm glad that I lost a few pounds or using the bathroom and taking showers would have not been possible. Well, because I did lose some weight I was comfortable throughout the apartment. The apartment was nicely furnished and also had a Vizio tv for our viewing pleasure. The apartment was centrally located to bus lines, subway terminals, and shops close enough that walking didn't make us feel tired when we decided to walk. We will seriously consider renting out this space again on our next visit to NYC.

Hideaway Saves the day!!!!

First-timer/New York 'rookies' we had NO idea where to stay on our recent trip & thus, sold on pictures & price decided on Harlem Hideaway......we feel very lucky indeed! Location is so handy to subway, neighbourhood has the best people watching, so many great places to eat & drink super close. We loved getting in amongst it and found ourselves eager to get back to our little place at the end of huge days walking this colourful city. Dennis is the perfect host, great advice for our stay, he has literally thought of everything! Beautiful building & décor, quite haven after the endless midtown crowds. Hey you can even just sit out on 'the stoop' and watch the world go by - Just do it we say!!!! Thanks Dennis & Harlem Hideaway for a most memorable time - Lynda & Dave, New Zealand

We stayed in this unit for 7 nights and absolutely loved it. Harlem was a beautiful place to stay in, everyone was so friendly. The unit is close to the subway so easy to get anywhere and its so close to Central Park. Dennis was great to deal with, very responsive when contacted. He even printed some tickets to an Ice Hockey game for us 😊 Would highly recommend this accommodation and will be staying there when we come back to New York in the future.

A Cosy Hideaway in Harlem

When researching places to stay for our New York holiday in January, we wanted an apartment that was just like what you see in the movies and on television. Harlem Hideaway studio provided exactly this. We arrived and we were instantly amazed by the lovely street and steps leading up to the apartment building. Dennis was highly accommodating and well informed with plenty of suggestions for local cafes, restaurants and things to do. The apartment was clean with plenty of fresh linen, towels and amenities in which we used daily. The location in Harlem is great as you are walking distance to local supermarkets, cafes and parks. A favourite market we found is called 'Best Market Harlem.' It is also just a quick walk to the subway, where you can easily make your way to downtown Manhattan. Thank you to Dennis for being such a friendly and attentive host. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

This building is typical of the historic neighborhood. I was impressed that it still retained so much of its original form and material. However, I was very impressed by the atmosphere of the block, with friendly, open and involved neighbors.

The quiet friendly tree-lined street, proximity to express subway- only 4 stops to Times Square, closeness to neighborhood coffee shop and historic park, as well as the 125 St. corridor and Central Park.
I actually love sitting on the front stoop while having a coffee or a glass of wine. I love seeing the relaxed street life going by, and being a part of it. Since my block is dominated by private brownstones, rather than apartment buildings, it has a friendlier, small town feeling than most other neighborhoods.
