Will Stay Again

Lovely space stocked with all the necessities. Very clean with easy check in and check out. The location was perfect for us and we hope to stay here the next time we visit the city.

Great Accomodations

Christine’s place was a great stay for us while visiting NYC. The bedroom is the perfect size and you can’t beat the full size bathroom. We went into Manhattan both days we were there and the subway is only 3 blocks away and was an easy trip on the Q into the city. The accommodations are so much more affordable here and the privacy is unmatched. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to get back in the near future.

Was in Brooklyn looking for an apartment to rent and Christine’s home was the perfect solution...very comfortable and affordable, and within short walking distance to subway reach other parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan...also 2 blocks from beautiful Prospect Park Even more impressive than the room and location was the hospitality of Christine, who not only gave me great transportation options but went out of her way to check me in early Highly recommended spot in beautiful Prospect Park brownstone

Stayed here for 4 days with a girlfriend while visiting Brooklyn and NYC yarn stores. Christi e is a wonderful host who provides everything needed from shampoo to water bottles to a beautiful cozy room decorated like home. Apt is close to the train station and coffee shops. You have all the privacy you need. We always felt safe, even walking home from the station at 11:30 at night. We had dinner from a restaurant delivered one evening and there is a cute eating area separate from the bedroom. Bathroom is very clean and big down the hall. I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful Haven in Brooklyn

I took my adult niece on her first trip to NYC. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was roomy. The bed was extremely comfortable, especially after a day of walking through NYC. The floor/room of the brownstone is quite private as you enter from the courtyard and have no contact with the main house. We drank our morning coffee in the front courtyard and had friendly chats with some neighbors. The area is lovely-an oasis in a busy city. Ample street parking and convenient to subway stops to head into Manhattan and sites in Brooklyn. As it had yet to be rated on VRBO, we were a bit hesitant, but it far exceeded expectations. Christine was more than accommodating and helpful. This is a real gem that I would give more than five stars if able! Thank you for providing this haven in the city. I look forward to returning!

Comfortable, convenient, PERFECT!

My stay here was incredibly positive. It was so easy to communicate with Christine. From the time I initially booked the room, to her check ins throughout my stay and then on departure, I always felt like she was accessible and yet, I had full privacy. This stay felt like I was in my own private apartment - the separate entrance, room and bathroom are so convenient. The pictures are wonderful, but the room exceeded my expectations even after seeing the great photos. This house is close to the subway (5-8 min walk) which took us into Manhattan, usually in 30 minutes or less depending on where we wanted to go. It is apparent that Christine has great care and concern for her guests - the little personal and comforting touches in the room made the stay all that much better: ironing board and iron, Kleenex boxes, shampoos and soap provided, hair dryer, a wonderful remote-controlled fan that we used frequently, menus for local restaurants and more. We love Brooklyn and always feel at home here, but I know some people aren't as familiar with the area and on that note, anyone can feel extremely secure in this home - your key allows you to lock three doors behind you so you're all safe and secure. Christine has thought of everything including the blackout curtains and shades -- the room was so dark and quiet at night that we got amazing sleep and were refreshed for our adventures in NY each day. Within walking distance we found our favorite morning coffee - Cinnamon Girl, and our favorite place for delicious food and a nightcap - Midland Flats. Highly recommend both! Upon checkout, Christine stopped down to make sure we were all set and let us out. I've done a lot of AirBnB and VRBO stays over the years and without hesitation, I would rate this my #1 stay. I will look very much forward to staying here again any time I have the chance.

This accommodation is comfortable and in a very nice neighborhood. Quiet with on street parking. The bathroom is down the hall from the bedroom and has everything you need. Christine was very responsive to all my questions. We highly recommend.

Lovely stay & street in Brooklyn

Private, quiet, and great location. The room had all we needed for a NYC weekend, including comfortable sitting room/ bedroom, and bath. Just a walk away from the metro, great restaurants and bars. Christine was in constant communication with us every step of the way, immediately responsive and helpful. We will definitely consider staying here next time we visit the city.

Lovely, peaceful accommodation

Perfect stay for fall visit to New York

Property was very clean and as advertised. No smell considering 100 year old property! Christine was very good host, providing dining suggestions and staying in contact by text in case we needed anything. Bed was very comfortable, sheets as well. Location was perfect, only 10 min walk to Subway station, and 20 min ride to Times Square. Nightly price was very reasonable. Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again!

Review of Christine’s apartment in Brooklyn

A terrific place and a terrific experience. Very elegant and clean little apartment, just about everything we needed. Pictures don’t do it justice-warm and comfortable. Christine was very conscientious and helpful, she worked around our schedule for check in. Neighborhood is lovely with great amenities and access to fabulous Prospect Park. Access to Manhattan is excellent during the week especially (they were doing subway construction this weekend so watch for that).

Great Brooklyn Rental

The apartment was immaculately clean, quiet and exactly as described. The location was fantastic, close to great restaurants, bars, Prospect Park and the subway. Christine was a great and accommodating host, and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet room close to subway

Stayed in this quiet bedroom with a private bathroom for 2 nights before departing on our cruise. We chose this location in Brooklyn because it was close to the cruise terminal. It was a short walk to the subway so we could do some sightseeing in Manhattan for a day. The room is on the bottom floor of the owners home. It felt very private even though they live upstairs. We had our own entrance. The last time I stayed in NYC I had a hard time sleeping because of the busy streets. This rental is on a very quiet street, so we slept great! I also appreciated the small fridge to keep some water cold. The host even provided 3 water bottles, a couple of granola bars and a small coffee pot. The host gave very detailed info on how to enter the rental as she was unavailable at the last minute to greet us. Very quick to respond through text or the VRBO app. It was also convenient to walk a few blocks to have some pizza for dinner and then bagels in the morning for breakfast. I would highly recommend this room in Brooklyn!

Incredibly comfortable

A great location in a part of Brooklyn we’d never explored. Lots of great coffee and breakfast available close by. Short walk to the bus or subway. Incredibly quiet and peaceful. Christine answered any questions in a timely manner and was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants.

Well kept home in Brooklyn

I want to thank Christine for being an excellent host. Her home is immaculate and I had a wonderful stay that exceeded my expectations. The house is on a neat, quiet street of well kept brownstone homes. It is a short walk from a stop on the Q train line. There are two small markets right outside the subway. Along the walk to the house, you pass a fruit market, a bagel shop, and an assortment of restaurants. I had no difficulty finding my way to the house or letting myself in based on Christine’s instructions. I met her that evening and found her to be very pleasant hostess. I travel alone so I noticed the entrance to the apartment was very secure. I am a light sleeper and noticed the block was very quiet. I hardly believed I was in a city. Christine mentioned that her family was two levels above the apartment. That explains why I didn’t hear walking around above me as I would have expected in anolder home. The mattress was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. This is very important to me, and I am fussy about the cleaning in vacation homes. For sightseeing, it is walking distance to Eastern Parkway. You can get to the Botanical Gardens, Prospect Park, and The Brooklyn Museum without a car or taking the subway. I highly recommend a stay hereI. I plan to return on future trips to Brooklyn. Thanks again to Christine for her gracious hospitality.

I am a happy repeat visitor to Christine's fabulous accommodations. Everything I've raved about in prior reviews still stands and I've only ever had positive experiences staying here. We loved our time at this cute little apartment for our anniversary weekend away. Christine is so accommodating and quickly responds to all requests. While the hallway is shared, it felt so private. I would stay here again without hesitation!

Exactly what we wanted

The room was perfect! Big soft bed and private bathroom. Safe neighborhood close to lots of food and the subway. Christine was excellent! She checked in a couple times via text to see if we needed anything, she was very helpful with directions and had great food suggestions. Everything was very clean and the internet was fantastic.

Excellent home base

Christine was great with providing information before and during our stay. Her home is extremely comfortable, quiet, excellent location for walking to the subway and everything we needed was available locally. Christine and her daughter met us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed for a great trip. Prospect park is an easy walk as is the subway to get anywhere else you need to go. The only (tiny) issue we had was that with a small(ish) child the bath was not useable as a bath but only as a shower... Christine, again, did everything she could to help us overcome that issue and we were able to make it work. I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone traveling to New York or Brooklyn and we will definitely be back.
