The Space:

Welcome to Southern Comfort Retreat!



Southern Comfort Retreat is an oasis for nature lovers, hikers, or anyone looking to escape for a weekend away! Centrally located within minutes of all your outdoor adventures, sightseeing, and multiple lake entrances!



Once you are inside the retreat you will be surrounded by elevated fixtures and comfort in every room. On the main floor, there are three bedrooms, a dining room, a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen, and direct access to the front porch and back patio. As you adventure into the lower level you will experience a true blast from the past! This retro space den comes fully equipped with a second full kitchen, in-unit laundry, bathroom, multiple couches, a projector and screen, dining space, and so much more! Attached to this den is a private suite and sitting room. This elevated space will provide privacy and comfort to the guests staying at the Retreat. This suite has direct access to the outdoor cover and private spa room. This suite also has a private attached bathroom. The entire property sleeps 17 with 4 total bedrooms and 6 roll-away beds.



Outside of the retreat, you will find a corn hole, multiple relation spots, a grill, a hot tub that is covered for year around enjoyment, plenty of parking, beautiful city views, and so much more! The Southern Comfort Retreat is perfect for reunions, families, friends, and any large group coming to Scottsboro!

We enjoyed our stay at the house. It was beautifully decorated and we felt a sense of peace while visiting there. We were much appreciative of the supply of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap and air freshener. However, we were a little disappointed in how the kitchen was sparsely supplied and the amount of dirty dishes in the cabinets.  One of the bathroom sinks downstairs leaked, but luckily there was a second sink close by. We loved having the basement, especially when the storm came through. The weather was perfect for outdoor grilling however, the BBQ grill was filthy with ashes and caked grease. There was entirely too much work involved to clean it, especially while on vacation. Hot tub was relaxing!Overall this was a great place to stay. Great location, nice and quiet, plenty of space, beautiful outdoors. We would stay again!

I brought our schools cross country team to stay for our sectional race in Pisgah. We had 3 chaperones and 14 kids. There was more than enough room for us all. The down stairs is as big as the upstairs. The house was very nice and clean. Definitely plan to be back next year.

Our fishing group had a great time here. Plenty of space for the 6 teams, 12 men and 6 boats. If we make it back to Guntersville we definitely will book this house again thank you

Great trip

Great house with plenty of room to spread out. The only complaint would be that the roll away beds are not a roll away bed, but cots. However, we had a great time and would stay again!

Thanksgiving Family Time

Our whole group enjoyed this home during Thanksgiving week . Lots of laughter and good times ! Easy communication for check in and out . The big screen was a nice bonus for watching the iron bowl and the kids and adults enjoyed plenty of corn hole matches !

Amazing property!

We couldnt have asked for a cleaner, cheerful, convenient place to stay. The place was immaculate, inside and out. There were places to gather throughout the property. Staying at this property was the best decision, as it absolutely added so much fun to our family girls get together. It will not disappoint, but book quickly, because once the word gets out, it will fill up quickly.

Fishing Headquarters

Wonderful Home, fishing headquarters. Two trucks and boats fit well on driveway. Clean and all amenities are onsite. A welcome, check in, check out procedure packet would be an added benefit to answer questions like wifi password, good restaurants nearby, hottub instructions, etc. etc. Overall, Great experience. Would return again.

The location was great, and we really appreciated the parking space for multiple trucks and bass boats — perfect setup for a fishing weekend. However, we were disappointed that the projector was broken, especially since it was the only TV in the main living area. We had planned a big football night after a full day on the water, but instead were told “too bad” and had to move a small 32-inch TV from a bedroom to the main room.To top it off, when we went to fire up the grill for dinner, the propane tank was empty. While the house itself was great for our group gathering, the level of luxury we expected — especially for the price — fell short. A few simple fixes and better customer service could have made this a five-star stay.

Location!!!

Overall, pleased with the place.I’ts very pretty, and spacious! The location is great! Close to so many things! (& 3 minutes from TJMaxx! ) Some things to note:I feel they should give more cabinet space for groceries. Most of the pantry storage is locked. They didn’t supply enough dishwasher pods, trash bags, (1, for a 12 day stay party of 7. We had to buy a box) or laundry soap. I had to buy a small bottle. The remotes/streaming services were a little glitchy. It was not well lit when we got there, and that made it challenging to see the keypad entry on the door. We searched for 10-15 minutes going to each door, before we found it. )And we had been there a week, before I found the owners names/numbers posted in the downstairs closet. I had to communicate with a third party, until that time for any questions. But other than that, it was a very nice place, and the hot tub is amazing!!
