Cabin-1/2 mile creek frontage-52 acres-fish-swim-play-kayak-Sleeps 9-2 bathrooms
If you are looking for the perfect spot to enjoy the great outdoors in the rural, remote Ozark Mountains, this is the place for you! Most of the cabins around here are on the White River which is very swift and cold. Piney Creek is warmer, safer, and WONDERFUL FOR KIDS TO PLAY IN, LEARN TO FISH, SWIM, AND JUST BE KIDS...and you can walk right into the creek from our cabin!
Piney Creek is surrounded by natural beauty and abundant wildlife—deer, turkeys, foxes, bobcats, squirrels, raccoons, and more. With a total of 52 acres, there is plenty of exploring to do! There's a good chance you will see creek flyovers by eagles looking for a meal.
Speaking of meals, you can enjoy cooking something delicious on the outside grill, and eating outdoors by the fire pit! Yum, hot dogs on a stick, roasted marshmallows, smores?!!
We also have a hammock (with a steel stand) for enjoying lazy afternoons by the creek!
Piney Creek is great for relaxing, wading, swimming, floating, and excellent fishing for bass, rainbow trout (in season), sunfish, and other species.
We rent kayaks to our guests--we can arrange float trips (short, medium, or long)--just inquire.
The cabin property sits on 52 acres with 1,200 feet of sandy creek frontage. It is remote, heavily wooded, quiet, and peaceful. We all want a little break from the everyday hassles. It’s a fantastic time to visit our cabins!
This entire multi- acre property is NON-SMOKING--IT IS HEAVILY WOODED AND VERY DRY IN THE SUMMERTIME! PLEASE SEE LOTS OF CABIN 2 DETAILS BELOW
IF YOU ENTER THE CORRECT NUMBER OF GUESTS, VRBO'S QUOTE WILL BE CORRECT. Our base rate is for a party of 2--each additional guest is $10 per night per person. For parties of 7, 8, or 9, we add the small amount of $25 to the cleaning fee because we have to bring in an additional housekeeper.
Note: We also have a VRBO-listed smaller cabin downstream from this cabin on another gorgeous PRIME waterfront location--it is not child-friendly--just ask us or choose this link: https://www.vrbo.com/7195532ha?adultsCount=2&noDates=true&unitId=6370423 =========================== We can sometimes offer same-day check-in depending on circumstances--click on "Ask Owner A Question" on the VRBO Inquiry Page after you enter dates. ============================= LOCATION IS 8 MILES OUT OF CALICO ROCK, ARKANSAS. FULLY FURNISHED CABIN SITS RIGHT ON PINEY CREEK AND ONLY 2 MILES FROM EASY WHITE RIVER ACCESS (WORLD CLASS TROUT FISHING).
CABIN IS ABOUT 45 MINUTES FROM THE FAMOUS OZARK FOLK MUSIC CENTER, BLANCHARD SPRINGS CAVERNS, LOCO ROPES, AND OTHER SCENIC WONDERS IN MT VIEW, AR.
If you’re considering another vacation rental cabin, don’t! Our property offers the ultimate nature experience! A beautiful pristine creek, wooded paths, towering limestone bluffs, abundant wildlife, and serenity await you at this remote, quiet getaway.
Please note below that our cabin has 2 bathrooms for added privacy! A lot of the other cabins in our area only have 1 bathroom.

Cabin does not have trash pickup--service is not even available in our area of the Ozarks--you will need to take your trash "home with you."
We recommend guests bring bottled/jug water for drinking/cooking. We have a good well/well pump, but we also have LOTS of natures’s critters roaming our multi-acre property.
This area of the Ozarks is very rural with dirt/gravel roads.. The last short part of the road to our cabin can sometimes be ROCKY AND ROUGH depending on the last time the county graded the country road. We recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle--or at least a vehicle with good ground clearance--the higher the frame the better. The long driveway down to the creek and our cabin has "speed bumps"--not the normal kind--just erosion prohibitors. Go slow.

Great remote property. The creek was so refreshing in the heat. Our son was able to swim and build in the sand. There are many activities in the area. We caught trout on the White River and had a nice cook out by the fire pit. The communication was great and we were greeted to a warm welcome and tour of the property with lots of useful information. We would certainly book again at this property. Lots of fun and value here.

Thank you for the great review. We look forward to seeing you again for sure!
This property was perfect. We had everything we needed. I prepared 3 meals each day for 5 people and had no issues with the kitchen or utensils/pots and pans. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were of good quality. Everything was very clean. The host, Mitch, was very kind, thoughtful, and attentive. If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge with Mother Nature, this is your place. We plan to return again next year.

So glad your family enjoyed our cabin, creek, and location. You nailed it when you said: "If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge with Mother Nature, this is your place." Thanks for your kind words on our hospitality. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
This was the perfect getaway spot! The house was very clean, communication with the host was superb and the location was exactly what we were expecting. We wanted to getaway from the huddle and huddle of our hometown and this was very secluded that we never heard another car or family around us during our stay. Highly recommend a truck or suv to access the property or you will not be able to get past a few of the rutted areas of the long driveway. We are used to gravel and dirt roads so go slow and you’ll be fine! Inside the house, we enjoyed board games and cards that were available and the kitchen had everything you needed for meals (bring oil and spices though). The master bed was comfortable though we brought our own pillows that we are used to. We enjoyed walked down to the creek and trying out some fishing. The property is fantastic and if you were bringing family or kids, I could see them all enjoying it. We would gladly come back with the rest of our family!

Thank you for the great review. We're very glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come again! For just a party of 2, may I suggest you choose our smaller cabin that is very nice and has a spectacular location right on beautiful Piney Creek! Guests love the outdoor shower there with HOT water! Cleaning fee is less too! :-)
If you are looking for privacy to just be with your loved ones this is a perfect place. You can’t hear anything from inside the home unless the windows are open but as soon as you walk out on the wrap around porch you can hear all sorts of nature. Birds, the creek rapids, the wind in the trees- it’s a beautiful spot. The creek water is crystal clear with big boulders under the water and sitting on the edge of water. Fish that you can see passing by. It has a fairly easy path down to the creek that my mother-n-law made it down fine. She has major balance issues-she only needed assistance at the very end where there is a couple of step downs. We brought folding chairs down there, but the cabin also has chairs. It has a nice fire pit that we made s’mores in and a propane bbq pit that we cooked on with ease. The house was perfect for our needs which was to just stop our lives and meet up with family in one spot to enjoy each other. Town nearby has shops and a neat museum, we did an overlook spot which was nice, saw some historic buildings, and watched people on the white river fish. Overall great trip and we all agreed we would go back. The only thing I didn’t care for was the long driveway in. It had rained a lot before we got there and there was about a 12-15ft stretch that was all muddy. Trucks did fine in this area but my minivan struggled at times. We brought enough stuff that we didn’t go back into town but 2x in our Friday to Monday stay (shopping and dollar general).

Thank you so much for your excellent review! Hope you can come back soon!
A couple buddies and I rented this place for the weekend to get away and hangout. This place was absolutely perfect. It’s very secluded, You really can get away from it all here. The property is beautiful and the cabin is extremely clean and comfortable. The owner was fantastic, accommodating and very easy to deal with. My group of friends gets together once or twice a year and this is one of the better places that we have stayed, if you want a secluded place to chill out this is the place for you.

Extremely relaxing and comfortable. Safe and cozy cabin where my kids were able to roam and have an amazing time playing with sand and running around the yard. Much needed vacation time with the family! Truly enjoyed it and will return again!

This is our second time staying at this cabin. It is very remote, but that’s exactly what we wanted. The cabin is simple and very clean. The creek was the highlight of our trip- a perfect spot for hot July days! Our eight year old didn’t want to leave.

So happy you enjoyed your stay--hurry back to see us! Piney will miss you!
Genuinely an amazing experience. We had a full 52 acres of the forest to ourselves and never saw nor heard another soul. We spent the entire weekend hiking up creek and floating down on inner tubes and it was a blast. I’d say it was a once in a lifetime experience that we were lucky to have, but the owners made this super accessible and despite the driving distance for us, we’d definitely consider coming back.

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property at first sight. It is secluded, unspoiled, and diverse. There’s the beautiful spring-fed creek, towering limestone bluffs, abundant wildlife, and trees everywhere. Frankly, we never intended to rent it, but we decided to share it with families who are looking to “get away from it all.” At first, we had no phone, no TV, and no internet. Now we have modern conveniences, but we urge you to get outdoors and forget all about them! The cabin sits on 14 acres, and we have another 37 acres of surrounding land. You will truly feel like you’ve left the rest of the world behind you when you drive through the gate. There are many other rental cabins in the Ozarks, and some are quite beautiful, but do you really want to hear the people next door? If not, this is the place for you!
What makes this property unique
Your own private world of nature at its best! 52 acres and thousands of feet of creek frontage surround our cabin!
