A classic home nicely perched just above the high tide line in the desirable Sand Beach section of Stonington. Enjoy superb water frontage in this rustic and charming seaside cottage just a mile from the village and a short walk to Sand Beach.Rockmere has a kitchen that is well stocked with all kinds of gadgets from toasters to coffee makers. Rockmere is comfortable for 4-5 people and is perfect for a family that’s looking to detach and enjoy the more simple things in life. The cottage has a nice living room with a wood-burning fireplace and superb views of the ocean. Rockmere has a first floor bedroom with a full bed.
The second floor of the home has three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a full bed and a dresser. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a dresser and a closet. The third bedroom has a twin bed and a dresser.
Rockmere is just feet from the ocean and is situated just above the rugged Maine coast line. Rockmere is located on the same parcel of land as Elsmere, Rockmere’s sister cottage. The two cottages share a wonderfully sandy beach, which is only accessed by three properties. Launching kayaks, beachcombing and swimming are all a must when in residence at Rockmere.
If you are looking for an oceanfront retreat off the beaten path and full of natural beauty then look no further.
** Note - Rockmere does not have potable water. Guests will be expected to provide water resources during their stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
