Small Seaside Cottage on Stonington`s Seawall. Sunrise Shanty is a small but sweet cottage built in to the seawall of Stonington’s picturesque village. The home enjoys eastern exposure which makes for lovely sunrises over the bay. Sunrise Shanty is definitely a tiny house but its got a lot of flair and provides great in-town accommodations.
Sunrise Shanty is a one bedroom, three quarter bathroom house on Ocean Street in Stonington. The cottage is small but mighty in its offerings. The primary access brings you in to the kitchen of the cottage, this space is freshly painted and has some nice updates including a new fridge as well as a small snack bar. From the kitchen there is a 3/4 bathroom with tile floors and a nice glass shower. There is a small set of steps leading up from the kitchen/bathroom space which opens to a living area with large views of the thoroughfare and comfortable seating including an arm chair and a full size couch. In the corner of the room there is a small dining table for two. The cottage is mostly open concept which makes the space open and bright. Another small set of stairs from the living area brings you up to the queen bedroom. The bedroom has views of the harbor, a full closet, two night stands and a dresser.
The outside of the cottage has a wonderful crushed stone patio with a gas grill as well as a sitting area. The cottage has access to the ocean at high tide so you could drop in your kayak and head out for a scenic paddle.
If you are looking to be on and around the working waterfront of Stonington harbor then Sunrise Shanty is surely a sweet place for you to enjoy some island time. CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
