Cosy Cottage
Beautiful, cosy cottage. It is well equipped and ideally situated for visiting the northern lakes. Only slight downside is lack of parking at the cottage, so did get wet getting to and from the car.
Stayed 3 nights in Nov 2022

We stayed at Riverholme for Christmas (our youngest daughter's first!) and the cottage could not have been more perfect. Lovely welcome gifts and card on arrival as well! Has all modern conveniences but still has the feel of a cosy cottage and we enjoyed warming up in front of the log burner after a day out. Bassenthwaite is a great location, we didn't venture more than 15 mins drive from the cottage but we weren't stuck for things to do (plenty of walks, Lakes Distillery, Wildlife Park and Whinlatter Forest all nearby). All in all a lovely, welcoming cottage in a great location and we'd have no hesitation in booking again!

We enjoyed Riverholme very much.
We enjoyed Riverholme very much. There are a couple of minuses. While the bed in the master bedroom is comfy, the single beds inthe twin room are less so and very noisy indeed. The stairs are also steep but those issues aside Riverholmewas ideal.

Riverholme is a great cottage that comfortably sleeps 4 adults.
Riverholme is a great cottage that comfortably sleeps 4 adults. We were only there for a short time to attend a family event in the area. Riverholme is beautifully furnished with everything you need, there is no parking but parking can found nearby on the nearby streets or next to the stream, no shop locally so recommend you take supplies with you, an get fresh eggs from the farm. The local pub is ideally located round the corner and serves food. Riverholme is a great cottage if visiting the Lakes to explore no hesitation in recommending, but take supplies with you as once back at the cottage you will not want to venture out after a long day walking.
