Best cottage stay ever

Larger rooms and property than expected with a huge kitchen , central heating and every thing you would need to self cater. Quiet location with gated parking. Greatest views of Ireby and Uldale fells, and 100mtrs walk to the breattaking views of the Solway. Do not have any hesitation of this great propery but be aware you are close to all tourist locations but is a great getaway for walks, etc. One slifht issue, not reLly worth mentioning is that the grass needed cutting and the cumbrian weather. Pleased with our stay at Laundry Cottage, well located, just to the North of everything we wanted to visit. Easy to get to local amenities in Keswick, the cottage was cosy in the cold evenings with the gas fireplace... broadband pretty good given the remote nature of the place allowing us to stay in touch. Very functional cottage in terms of equipment and lots of space (far too much for our party of two)!! Would stay here again without hesitation. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage .

Lovely cottage . Well equipped for practicality. Guest information was sparse. There was no information of places to walk or visit. There was a dvd player but no dvds or instructions .No games or books as many cottages have . There is one shower for six people . I would go back though .thank you  Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Cottage is very remote but this was ideal for a covid getaway! It is a short drive to Keswick to enjoy boating, stone circle & doddwoods We enjoyed walking in the grounds Property is a bit of a rabbit warren and sitting rooms are a bit small but overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Beds were comfortable. Steep stairs large garden area, but be aware that this is open plan and shared with properties on either side. We didn't find this a problem and enjoyed BBQs Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Laundry cottage is a comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location.

Laundry cottage is a comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location. The furniture is of a high quality if a little dated. The fire in one of the sitting rooms is a beautiful addition and we used it every night. There are a few issues the main one being accessibility. Being an old building it seems like every room involved another step, being on different levels. The main staircase is very steep and unsuitable for the less mobile. Some general maintenance is required e.g lights not working including outside light. There were bits of tape over sockets etc. However it is excellent value for money and for larger groups recommended. A dishwasher and washing machine were very handy.

Laundry Cottage was surprisingly spacious, even with our group of seven adults we didn't feel crowded. It is located in a peaceful, rural location away from the crowds, but close enough to the lakes when we wanted to visit. Being in the north lake district we were close enough to visit the coast on the Solway Fifth, and the historic city of Carlisle. We all enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful holiday, and we were lucky enough to see the red squirrel that sometimes visits the cottage garden. Lovely place and would highly recommend to anyone.

Absolutely brilliant cottage, full of character, lovely rooms and a great location. Just far enough away from the busier parts of the lakes... Great views, easy to get to Keswick and Cockermouth. We all had a great holiday!

2019 is the 4th year we have stayed in Laundry Cottage and, all being well, we shall continue to do so. I don't think there is any higher recommendation we can give. With regard to Local Amenities - we have given only 4 because you have to travel if you need to shop or want to eat out. This is the only area that is lacking. A tremendous place to enjoy a Lakeland holiday.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. The only issue from my side was the dishwasher didn’t work very well so we ended up hand washing all the crockery and cutlery. I would definitely recommend Laundry Cottage to others and visit again. Thank you!

Lovely sweet cottage with the woods on the doorstep which were great for the dogs.

Lovely sweet cottage with the woods on the doorstep which were great for the dogs. The cottage on the whole was reasonably well presented and fairly well equiped, the beds were all comfortable and the small lounge with the fire was a cosy spot for the evening . The distance to the shops is both an advantage and disadvantage depending on if you have run out of milk! but the area is so peaceful and beautiful. The cottage was big enough for the 5 of us [all adults] and 2 dogs but a little more work surface in the kitchen could have come in handy. We would all gladly return and indeed hope to do so in the future.
