Situated in the town centre, this four-bedroom, detached cottage is perfect for large groups and families looking to explore the seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea. With a nautical theme throughout the property, you will feel like you have brought the outdoors in. The cottage offers outdoor facilities to store bikes, and there is parking for two cars which is another great perk when choosing to stay at Jicklings.



Multiple shops, restaurants, delis, and bakeries are all only a short walk from the property along with tourist information. The beautiful sandy beach is only 1 mile away, with a seasonal mini train that takes you from the quayside to the beach. The quayside is practically on your doorstep and offers sailing. You have access to the coast hopper bus which will transport you along the coast to many more coastal towns. Burnham Market is 5 miles away, stunning Holkham is 2 miles away and the nearest city is Norwich, which is 30 miles away and offers shopping centres, museums, theatre, and a football stadium. Beach 500 yards. Shop and pub 200 yards, restaurant 500 yards.

Lovely place, Convenient Location

A group of friends in a bird and wildlife watching trip - lovely property in a quiet and peaceful location. The quay and the nearest pub are only three minutes walk away with fish and chips shop even nearer. Property was clean and very well presented. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Wells visit

Cottage could not be more central in Wells. Access was a bit difficult via the key box, Central heating system was excellent. Very steep stairs so not so great for those less mobile. Overall, perfect for groups of about 6.

Nice location

Good location. Property is simple. Lots of stairs. Shower doesn’t drain so have to limit water use. Basic property that could use a little upgrading but overall good stay due to location.

The cottage is in a perfect position being so close to the quay and walks to the beach.

The cottage is in a perfect position being so close to the quay and walks to the beach. Considering it was so central it was also really quiet, there is a community centre nearby which we heard little of even on Saturday night. The cottage itself is spacious over three floors and has the makings of a really nice place to stay. However, it is certainly in need of some TLC. It is an old building and seems to be suffering a bit for it. There is a fair bit of mildew in the shower room and also in one of the top bedrooms and the shower screen was broken and needed a good clean. I don't want to be too critical because it has the makings of a great holiday home, just let down at the moment by some maintenance issues. If these are resolved I would certainly return.
