We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marina’s villa. She met us day of and in preparation of our stay, we had asked for some groceries to be obtained which she supplied. This helped us immensely when our toddler needed snacks. She was prompt in her replies and very professional throughout. The property is large and scenic, you do not feel like in your in the city until you see the skyline from the pool deck. Highly recommend and we would certainly book again!!!

This is a beautiful property with a lovely host. The bedrooms are large, clean and have air conditioning (needed in the hot weather). The living room and kitchen are small but cosy. The grounds of the villa are attractive and the pool area was pleasant. The villa is near to the motorway system - this is helpful for visiting the surrounding area. There is a train station a 5minute drive away where you can catch comfortable and reliable trains to Rome (20 minute journey). A car is needed as there is only one (very nice) restaurant that is a walkable distance from the villa. The villa has a lovely outdoor dining area if you don’t want to go out for meals.

Thank you for your review, Elese! We loved having your family in a wing of our villa. Next time come and stay in the whole villa so you can enjoy the downstairs large kitchen and living rooms which are cool even without air condition!

Spoke with the property owner/manager Marina about her exquisite villa before we booked but our conversation quickly became a conversation between friends. My fiancé and I were welcomed with open arms and an open heart for our 4 day stay at Villa de Cardinale. The property has a fascinating story - built during the first century. The villa could be a museum. But there’s nothing stodgy or cold here. Modern amenities abound including a bidet in the en-suite in spacious master bedroom including a claw footed bathtub which could be warmed by the fireplace. We visited in August so the fire wasn’t lit. The villa is cool, comfortable and homey. We spent many hours in the adjacent garden and sat by the pool when we weren’t out shopping and seeing the sights. The villa feels as if it’s in the country - but it’s only a 10 minute drive down the via Salaria to the heart of Roma and the iconic sights - the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain and shopping- via Veneto, via del Corso. etc. You’ll need a car or Uber/Lyft as public transportation is limited. Marina & her boyfriend Alex were wonderful hosts - giving us insights into Italian “don’t say buona notte” unless you’re on your way to bed - it’s always buona sera. There are no goodbyes here only inserisci testo- until we meet again.
