Gorgeous house in a private setting. Our group enjoyed the peaceful area, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable rooms. Had wedding activities in town over the weekend and the travel time between the house and downtown Ashland worked out well and gave us peaceful evenings with tons of stars and morning coffee on the deck.

We had such a great time! Quite and beautiful retreat, great place to unwind. The house was perfectly stocked with all things you need. Very quite and peaceful at night.

The Madrone House was incredibly cozy and had a wonderful view from the back porch. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place! We were visited by deer often and at night you can see all the stars in the sky. Jennice was kind enough to get a fire started for us before we arrived….loved the fire burning stove! It added to the charm and experience of the house. Jennice and Mike were very kind and helpful hosts and were available whenever we needed assistance. You share the property with them and they give you as much privacy as you need. The beds were so comfortable, the house was impeccably clean, and well stocked with basic needs. I would definitely come back to stay again, it was a complete joy having our vacation there.

Beautiful place near Ashland, Oregon! Nice and remote for a relaxing weekend but still close to town and easy to access. The owners were super nice and made themselves available for anything we needed. Very cozy and clean place, lots of room and slept our crew of 9 comfortably. Kitchen was great to cook in and had everything we needed, the living room and deck were spacious places to hangout. If you stay here make sure to go out on the porch with the lights off as the stars are stunning.

Not far from town. House was on owners property but the rental is private so we never saw anyone but they were at least close by if we needed.The beds were comfortable & kitchen was stocked good. Nice views too! Id recommend & stay here again.

Great Stay

Very nice and comfortable home, and the most quiet night's sleep we've had in quite some time. The short drive to downtown Ashland is an added bonus.

A wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at the Madrone House. It was clean, comfortable and fully stocked which made cooking easy! The views are incredible and we saw deer multiple times. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfortable and clean house with lovely linens and towels, and cozy beds. Views were a plus, along with the privacy of being in the country. We enjoyed watching the deer and the ground squirrels. And it's just a 20-minute drive to downtown Ashland and the theatres.

We loved our stay. The house was beautiful, comfortable and clean. Beautiful mountain views. This home is tucked about a mile off the road and we arrived at night so just as long as you follow the road after the gate, you’ll find it. We enjoy the quiet, crickets and all the stars. We’d stay again. Thanks for having us!

Quiet Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Madrone House. The house was clean and well stocked in the kitchen. It is a short drive from town and conveniently located to access Mt. Ashland. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Beautiful Getaway

We had a brief, but relaxing stay. It was the perfect home base for our Ashland exploration. So quiet and lovely. We had everything we needed, plus a friendly greeting upon arrival and morning coffee from the owners' adorable dog. We will be back.

A great place to stay for a family visit to Ashland

Home on the range just 10 minutes from Ashland. Beautiful setting, clean new cozy house with 3 bedrooms. Ample room for our family of 5. Well stocked and comfortable, easy drive to Ashland or a bit further to music in Jacksonville.

Southern Oregon Paradise

The Madrone House is a special place, set in the quiet and picturesque hills just outside Ashland. Our hosts had a fire built in the wood stove when we arrived and gave us gift bottles of lavender oil from the lavender farm on their extensive property. We definitely hope to stay there again!

Clean and well stocked

We gathered with family for thanksgiving for 3 nights. Property was easy to find and access down a 1 mile dirt road driveway. It had all the kitchen supplies we needed to host a large dinner. Loved the fireplace, air hockey and fooseball. We loved being greeted by two lovely dogs when we arrived

Hidden Gem

This property is 10-15 minutes outside of Ashland; making it the perfect distance to have a little get-away and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. The modern home was clean and well taken care of. Sitting on the back deck each morning and enjoying some coffee was one of my favorite things! The owners are very responsive and answered any questions I had. Looking forward to our next visit!

Quiet and beautiful country setting

The Madrone House is located 20 minutes from downtown Ashland in a beautiful country setting. The house is very comfortable for 3 couples and has a fully furbished kitchen and big deck where we spent many lovely evenings. We visit Ashland plays, go winetasting, and relax at the house. The owners live in another house on the property and are available if needed. Communication was excellent and everything was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

Awesome getaway :)

We came to Ashland for a music festival. This is the second time we stay at the Madrone House and it did not disappoint. Beautiful remote location. While we’re stuck inside the first day due to smoke- the comfort of the house kept us happy. Plenty of space to play games and general merriment. When an act of nature occurred- the owners were completely responsive and quick in action. The best part of our stay was the warm welcome and occasional visits from Austie, our new best friend.

Cozy Thanksgiving Family Time

My family lives in California and we needed a large home to accommodate 9 sleepers and 15-day guests. We were happily greeted by a giant dog whom we nicknamed "Hercules." He was very friendly and gentle. The house is clean and beautiful. It is tucked away from the town, but not too far. It was equipped with all we needed to create a feast. The fireplace was a treat and added to the holiday atmosphere. The beds were comfortable. The Madrone House was the perfect place to celebrate our holiday.

Delightful stay in Ashland

We had a wonderful stay at the Madrone House. It was truly a special experience. Loved the property and house. The magnificent views and bucolic setting made for a relaxing getaway. The house is thoughtfully decorated and very well-equipped with plenty of kitchenware, blankets, towels, and most comfortable beds. Jennice and Mike were fabulous hosts and went above and beyond expectations to see to it we had everything we needed to entertain our family at the house. We are truly grateful to have found this gem in Ashland, and all within a short, scenic, easy drive to town where we enjoyed the Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park and more. We are enchanted by the Madrone House and will definitely be back. Big thanks to Jennice and Mike for a fabulous stay.

The house was impeccably clean, it felt almost new. The deck was really nice. All the furniture was in great shape and beautiful, both the outdoor and indoor. The towels seemed brand new. The beds were comfy. The rollaway bed was firm and easy to set-up. There were fairy lights on the window sills. There were a lot of air fresheners and fragrance. It smelled great to us, but if you are sensitive to fragrance, you might ask the host ahead of timeThe kitchen had every appliance you could imagine. Stove worked great. The BBQ was clean and worked well. The only things we couldn't find were scissors and there was only one cutting board. There were board games for the kids. All the pieces were there. I don't know about the TV or DVD players, we didn't use them. I imagine they work, based on everything else in the house.Unbelievable view, the photos don't do it justice. There is a lovely view of hillscapes in the distance, you can watch the clouds go by and storms roll through. Trees everywhere, grassy hills, cows and deer. Quiet.The road in is very country/gravel. The driveway up to the house was steep. We were happy in an all-wheel drive car. The big family dog was so incredibly sweet and friendly. There was a little cattle/collie dog who said hi and was also super friendly. There is a large rock hill, my kids enjoyed climbing - hopefully that was okay.The host was easy to contact, informative and helpful. 10/10 we would absolutely stay there again.
