Exactly what we were looking for

Beautiful house, large enough for a family of 7 to comfortably stay in for a fews days. Not far from Edinburgh and tucked in the hills with trails all around. We had a fantastic stay.

Great place to stay. Very nice spacious house, tastefully decorated. Surrounded bij the beautiful pentland hills, not far from Edinburgh.

If you love country living this is the place for you. A lovingly restored coach house on a sheep farm that has everything you could possibly want for a short or long term stay. We were there for 2 weeks and loved every minute. The photos do not show how lovely it really is. There is a large outdoor dining table in front of the coach windows on grass overlooking the farm. The sheep are not kept close to the house so you don’t hear them. I highly recommend the coach house. A sweet home away from home.

Great Stay at Nine Mile Burn - Spittal Farms

Beautiful home set in a very picturesque setting. Out in country but close enough to all the places you'd want to go visit. Several great places to eat within a few miles as well as some fun pubs and many historical sites close by. House has all the modern conveniences. Great beds and comfy towels. House has a well stocked kitchen with everything you'll need. (not food of course), a great patio area with a fire pit (with plenty of wood on hand) and a Weber type bbq. Only two things of note are that the combo washer dryer works well in wash mode, not so much as a dryer, and that the upstairs shower needs the temp limiting device in the valve adjusted as the water while hot everywhere else is warm only in that shower. We really loved this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay. If six stars were a choice I'd give it to them.
