About this property

Charming Casa Montecito in Peaceful Mission Hills

This upstairs unit is sunny and very private. The living room has a 65" smart TV with Apple TV and high speed internet. There are lots of board games to enjoy with family and friends. The dining area can seat 8 comfortably. In the kitchen every convenience is at your fingertips; Kitchen-Aid range, convection microwave, Bosch dishwasher, and a Kitchen-Aid full size refrigerator with filtered water and ice-maker.
The primary bedroom features a Cal king size mattress and the 2nd bedroom is also a Cal king mattress.
In addition to the king size beds there is a self-inflating queen air mattress and a twin cot that can be set up in the family room. Linens are a high thread count with fluffy down/alternative comforters.
One bath has a shower and tub, the second has a walk in shower. A new, full-size, stackable washer and dryer are in the home.
Outdoor spaces are important to take in our “almost” perfect, year round San Diego weather. There are two patios, one with table and chairs and a BBQ grill, the other with fire-pit and Adirondack chairs. Two balconies off the living room are a great spot to watch the hummingbirds and green parrots that live in our neighborhood.

Beautiful, peaceful accommodations

This is the second time we have stayed here. This is definitely a pride of ownership VRBO. The accommodations are thoughtful, beautiful and comfortable. I feel like it is a home away from home. I look forward to coming back and relaxing again. There is a lovely breeze that flows through the entire space and the space is conducive to reading and relaxing. It is also close to some great restaurants and sight-seeing. Love it here

This property was in a great neighborhood with close proximity to all things San Diego. It was a very peaceful sanctuary after our days spent on Coronado, Temecula, and the Old Town area!! Definitely would recommend this rental to others and would stay there again.

I was born and raised in Southern California. This neighborhood in San Diego is where I wanted to live more than anywhere. My future wife and I drove through beautiful Mission Hills in 1985 remarking how we would like to live here someday! We realized this dream and did a complete remodel to update the entire property.

Why they chose this property

Casa Montecito is a historic home built in 1913. In 1923 it was converted into a duplex with upper and lower units. I reside in the downstairs unit. Mission Hills is a special place. An upscale, quiet, friendly, walkable and safe neighborhood. We are sure you will enjoy it!

What makes this property unique

Close to all and walk or bike to restaurants and parks. Or sit on the porch and enjoy the cool ocean breezes.
