Very clean and comfortable cottage with excellent views across Kendal to the hills.I was pleased the to find the garden was dog safe. There were 39 stairs from my bedroom to the kitchen, I think I was fitter when I left than when we arrived. Would definitely stay again.
A wonderful property in a great location. We stayed with my 17 year old daughter and her girlfriend and the layout offered us privacy for sleeping/showering but with great shared spaces for eating and relaxing in the lounge. The view from the balcony is amazing. For being so close to the town it is very quiet. The host was very helpful even calling us prior to the stay to make sure we had the code for the key box. The only negatives are that parking can be a bit of a challenge and there are a lot of stairs. We would highly recommend this property, its excellent value for money.
Top of the property (kitchen) can be very warm without heating. Very well equipped, unfortunately water was left in the kettle and only 1 teabag (no milk sachets) in the welcome pack. Property as described and quirky in layout. Outside of kitchen cupboards was dirty but internally clean.
