Beautiful, clean lodge with all little home comforts you could need. Lovely decor and plenty of storage for clothes, etc. Penny was a very friendly & helpful host. In a beautiful part of the park, right next to the lake.
Fantastic "home from home" lodge, just as advertised. Plenty of room and everything we needed ( and more). Great location. We did not want to leave. We loved our stay, thank you so much.

This is a lovely property and a lovely host. It's a shame there isn't a dishwasher. The outdoor decking area could do with an upgrade as some of the railings are now unsafe. We love the lodge though. Thank you Penny for another lovely stay.

If anything ever needs attention, reporting it during your visit is really important, as it allows me the opportunity to resolve issues as soon as I possibly can. The unsafe decking post and railings have since been replaced, and additional works are underway.I truly appreciate your feedback and your continued stays.

About the host

After visiting the Lake District for the past 14 years I was fortunate to have purchased Lakeside 15 in May 2016. I class the Lakes as my second home, I absolutely love the scenery, tranquility and the surrounding areas of the Lake District. I live in Wiltshire and work full but visit the lodge on a regular basis, to maintain and deep the lodge. It is very important to me the lodge is kept up to a high standard for guests to enjoy thier stay. I want to share with you what I have enjoyed over the years visiting the Lake District. I welcome any constructive feedback and would be very grateful if you could take the time to give me your reviews.
Why they chose this property
When I was looking to buy a lodge I went up to look at 3 in total. When I looked at this one I knew it was the one, the sun was shining through the patio doors as we entered, the room was bright, sunny and open planned. You could see the Lake out of the twin bedroom window, it just felt right. It is a 2 minute walk to the marina and picnic area. I think the combination of the spacious open planned lodge and being so close to the Lake closed the deal for me. The property is in an ideal spot to chill out and enjoy your stay, in a great location. You can return after a full days adventures, activities, walking, shopping to simply relax and cosy up in the lodge, or sit outside on the surrounding decking for alfresco dining. It is close to adventure out in the evening to one of the local towns, with many restaurants or pubs to choose from. Bowness (my favourite place) has plenty of places to eat and drink. Whatever you choose to do, I know you will have a fantastic time.
What makes this property unique
Extra wide lodge, with wrap around decking. En-suite double bedroom with walk in wardrobe. Open plan, fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare dinner whilst still interacting with family and friends. Fridge and separate freezer. Washer/dryer. High chair. Iron & ironing board. 2 hair dryers. Outside furniture for alfresco dining. Home from home. Book yourself a relaxing massage with Penny Irvine Mobile Massage Therapy who will come to the lodge to arrange an appointment for your break.
