The 'Gray' Escape, Honeymoon Cabin

Our newly renovated cabin is sure to please. If you are looking for seclusion, this is it! We are located on a beautiful winding country road between downtown Boone and downtown Blowing Rock. (4WD recommended in the winter months). We are close to many attractions, great restaurants and shopping, yet, away from it all. Steps to one of the best hiking trails around. ..Mountains to Sea/Boone Fork loop trail is part of the Blueridge Parks trail system and right outside our front door! Locally known as 'Hebron Falls'. Spend the day exploring these beautiful trails. Pack a picnic lunch and bring your fishing pole!

We enjoyed the cool and refreshing mountain air at this quiet cottage. Patti was always quick to respond and gave great directions to this home that is off the beaten path. Housekeeping was excellent and everything was just as noted in the description. I did overlook the fact there is no hair dryer, but I needed a new one anyway so while we were out, I picked up one. Lots to do in the area and a new find for us was the Hidden Happiness Bee Farm in Deep Gap NC. I would not hesitate to stay at this sweet home again in the future.

The Gray Escape was a great getaway and we were grateful it is pet friendly. Clean and comfortable with a lovely large deck to enjoy a meal outside which is enclosed for our pup too! A great bonus was having the Hebron Falls Loop trail within a short walk of the cabin since we were here to hike everyday! Thank you Patti for a great escape

This little cabin was just the right size getaway. The trails were just steps from the cabin and plenty of trails to explore. The host was very reaponsive and very helpful.

The cabin was clean, neat, and in excellent condition all around. The covered porch area with two rocking chairs was a favorite spot for both of us. We enjoyed the peacefulness and seclusion of the property, as well as the beautiful mountain forest surroundings. The Gray Haven cabin was just what we were looking for.When we arrived, the host was there performing final cleanup of the cabin. She was very friendly, personable, and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider renting the same cabin again.

We loved our stay at The Gray Escape Honeymoon Cabin! When we first walked in the door we could smell how clean it was. The cabin is decorated so nicely and had everything we needed. It was perfect for my husband and I and our dog Pippin. We will definitely be back!

This was our third stay at the “Gray Escape” We love coming to this cozy cabin in the woods. The hiking is great. Coming back and building a fire in the fire pit is relaxing. Bring your own wood as there isn’t a lot of wood to gather on property. A sponge wasn’t provided for dishes so we used a dish rag. I would recommend bringing toilet paper as well since only one roll is provided.
