Everything about this cabin is perfect. My wife and I have stayed here numerous times so we know what to expect. Perfect for 2 people. Close to hiking, fishing, Close to Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone and Valle Crucis. Best place for quiet relaxation. Lots of wildlife around the cabin. (Deer) the deck is a great place to relax with a cup of coffee in the morning listening to the Cannon Branch Creek.

It was unseasonably warm and with no central air it was a bit warm, but by nightfall it was comfortable. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. Our only disappointment was no blinds or curtains on the windows to block the sunlight in the morning, but that is very minor! The location was very peaceful and quiet! It was definitely worth the price we paid, which was also very reasonable.

The Gray Escape was a great getaway and we were grateful it is pet friendly. Clean and comfortable with a lovely large deck to enjoy a meal outside which is enclosed for our pup too! A great bonus was having the Hebron Falls Loop trail within a short walk of the cabin since we were here to hike everyday! Thank you Patti for a great escape

We enjoyed the cool and refreshing mountain air at this quiet cottage. Patti was always quick to respond and gave great directions to this home that is off the beaten path. Housekeeping was excellent and everything was just as noted in the description. I did overlook the fact there is no hair dryer, but I needed a new one anyway so while we were out, I picked up one. Lots to do in the area and a new find for us was the Hidden Happiness Bee Farm in Deep Gap NC. I would not hesitate to stay at this sweet home again in the future.

This little cabin was just the right size getaway. The trails were just steps from the cabin and plenty of trails to explore. The host was very reaponsive and very helpful.

We loved our stay at The Gray Escape Honeymoon Cabin! When we first walked in the door we could smell how clean it was. The cabin is decorated so nicely and had everything we needed. It was perfect for my husband and I and our dog Pippin. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was clean, neat, and in excellent condition all around. The covered porch area with two rocking chairs was a favorite spot for both of us. We enjoyed the peacefulness and seclusion of the property, as well as the beautiful mountain forest surroundings. The Gray Haven cabin was just what we were looking for.When we arrived, the host was there performing final cleanup of the cabin. She was very friendly, personable, and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider renting the same cabin again.

This was our third stay at the “Gray Escape” We love coming to this cozy cabin in the woods. The hiking is great. Coming back and building a fire in the fire pit is relaxing. Bring your own wood as there isn’t a lot of wood to gather on property. A sponge wasn’t provided for dishes so we used a dish rag. I would recommend bringing toilet paper as well since only one roll is provided.
