Wake with the roosters and watch parakeets' roost

A magical oasis right across the street from the ocean, a wonderful restaurant, and beautiful sunsets. The condo had everything we needed and the balcony off the bedroom had a lovely view. We really appreciated the beach equipment all ready to take on adventures. Highly recommend. Very clean and the bed and pillows were really comfortable.

Prince Kuhio

Prince Kuhio is one of my favorite places to stay in south Kauai. Easy access to everything and it has a very cool vibe. I don't like the larger condo setups and this location makes it easy to get in and out to your unit.......pool is nice, good laundry facilities and the snorkeling at the local beach was the best this year (2024). Unit 114 was 20 steps to the pool! Clean and well appointed. Will book again! :)

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the condo to be clean and comfortable, though decor is outdated/ needs refreshing. Kitchen was well appointed with everything that we needed. There were beach chairs and towels, and even first aid supplies (which came in handy after our hike to the Nakalele Blowhole on Maui the day prior to our arrival on Kauai!!). The pool is close by and well cared for, the beach handily is across the street. The location is great --very close to Allerton Gardens, Poipu Beach, shopping, golf. Our one complaint, which was kind of a big one, was that our door code/lock malfunctioned--keeping us locked out of our condo for 90 minutes upon returning from a very arduous hike that had left us all muddy and tired. I called/emailed management for help but we had to sit in the rain for nearly 2 hours before someone came to let us in. The lock did not get repaired until later the next day, leaving us in a predicament because if we would leave/allow the door to fully close we would again be locked out

The grounds very very beautiful and maintained nicely. There was beach access across the street. There was garage parking. Unit 114 was very outdated and did not have updated appliances, specifically referring to the kitchen stove. It had burnt on residue on the burners and it looked like the oven had never been cleaned. There were dead bugs adhered to the light and fan area. The linoleum floors were very very dirty. There were gouges in the walls in the bathroom vanity area. The tile in the shower, especially the grout was very dirty and had never really been serviced properly. The water temperature in the shower was impossible to regulate. Consequently, I just gave up and used the faucet without activating the overhead shower fixture. There was no air conditioning, only one fan. The curtain panels in the bedroom were dirty with visible black spots on them. Some panels appeared to have mold stains although I don’t know if that was mold or not. There were two beach chairs and an umbrella to use. The host was responsive and sent communication the entire stay.
