Welcome to one of the first oceanfront and highest quality-built homes in Westport! Expansive views over the ocean await you from its two engineered wraparound decks, perfect for watching fishing and crabbing vessels on the horizon or spotting a gray whale breach. This home is unique in that it offers three oceanfront bedrooms with patio doors leading out to their own private decks. Two separate dining spaces face the ocean, and walls of windows afford breathtaking views from all the main living areas. Bask under its towering wood-beamed ceilings, explore the railed second landings and widow’s walk, and enjoy its ornate stained glass, wood paneling, and solid oak floors. The wood throughout and the wood-burning fireplace give this house a warm, rustic feeling.

This vacation rental is the closest house on South Beach to the prime surfing spot next to Westhaven Jetty and Westport Light State Park, and a mile and a half, mostly paved path to the Jetty, Half Moon Bay, and the charming fishing town of Westport. Gaze at the colorful fleet of fishing vessels and the sea lions at play in the marina, or book an ocean charter fishing trip. Wonderful location with walkout access to beach right from your deck. The house was big enough for our large family and had plenty of space to spread out. We rented boogie boards and had fun playing in the water. The house has plenty of games, books, and fun things to do if not at the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels and clean sheets. Hot tub was nice. It had sand in it when we arrived but vacasa offered to have someone come out and clean it right away which was nice. Cleaning was good but quite a bit of pet hair left over from a previous stay blowing around when the doors were open. Other than that it was great! Will rent again next year!

Huge House in Westport Dog Friendly

Dog Friendly home with 5 bedrooms. Great Beach access and large table for games and family meals. Close to the lighthouse and short drive to store and town. Love the beach!

Perfect Beachfront Escape

Perfect place for a coastal getaway. The house has everything you’d need or want at the coast. As soon as we walked in the door and looked out the window we saw sea otters playing in the surf. Lots of bedrooms so no one has to share, large hot tub, dinner table big enough for everyone, large cabinet of games for kids and adults, plenty of bathrooms and towels. The only things I’d like to see is one of those boot brush things by the steps so you can clean your shoes as you return from the beach and a new bbq. The bbq on site was pretty corroded from the salty air, one of our planned meals was meant to use it but we improvised. Still a 10 out of 10, will definitely book again.

Serenity

We booked this home for a Girls Trip, (4 housekeepers) & we were not disappointed! Based on the reviews we read, management has listened & worked hard to make it the wonderful place it is. If you are seeking a warm, inviting ocean-front home in Westport, this is definitely 1st choice.

Great House for Big Family

We love the beach in the Winter. Took Kids and Grandkids and had the beach mostly to our Selfs. We do all our own cooking, and the kitchen had enough pots and pans for our crew. Very Dog Friendly with goo access to the beach. Take Dishwashing detergent and extra TP with you.

On the beach!

We couldn't be happier with the location of the house. (But, Google Maps took us to the condos next to the house.) Just a few steps and we were on the beach. The babies put their feet in the sand and the older kids rode the waves on their body boards. Caught some nice sea perch while surf fishing, too! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, except for overhead light. Evidently, the fluorescent bulbs over the sink need to be replaced. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean and I was pleasantly surprised to not find any evidence of sand or dog hair on the floor! All the wood in the house is lovely and all the rooms fit our family well!

Poorly Maintained House

Very dirty home. Our check in time was 4, then delayed to 5, cleaning person still there at 5 working hard to get house in order, by 6:15 we were able to bring our stuff in only to find house really wasnt ready. Over full load of towels in dryer to fold, dishwasher also over loaded with dishes to unload. Front porch so sandy needed sweeping as was very slippery for our elderly family. Back patio filthy with old food, grease from barbecue which was filthy as well as very dirty hot tub. We swept front porch, took warm soapy water to back deck to clean off. As members of family started arriving we found more issues. 2 beds missing top sheet, clean trash can liner placed on top of garbage already in waste basket.. As we drove in garbage all around trash can, picked it up and again the following morning trash was all over. We had placed a big rock on lid but did not help issue.We called repeatedly for hot tub to get cleaned to no avail for 3 days then gave up. No one returned our calls as was told. This house was too much work for our 6 day vacation. Diffently not worth all the money charged. Hoping to get cleaning fee as well as hot tub fee refunded.

Beautiful location, house needs help

We had an amazing weekend here celebrating and spending time with the friends. The location is amazing 10/10 and made the whole trip worth it. The house had lots of character and space with a killer view. The decks ware awesome. Hot tub was hot and very fun. The major issues are the cleanliness of the home. We had to spend over an hour cleaning before my other friends got there because we were embarrassed how the house looked. No one vacuumed and the floors were totally gross with crumbs and gunk everywhere There was thick layers of dust literally everywhere. I had to wipe down baseboards that were caked with dust, surfaces with greasy hand prints and crumbs etc. I fully understand this is a pet friendly beach house and don’t expect perfect or anywhere near it but we’ve stayed in many vacs houses and this was shocking. The house has an unpleasant “must” odor as well. They also have a bad sugar ant problem in the kitchen that we’re clawing all over when I first got there and throughout the weekend attempting to get into our food. Was just gross. While this house did have lots of plates, small appliances etc, that were so helpful, we were left with only one paper towel roll and no spare toilet paper rolls (to our knowledge) so we had to go buy more. Again, for the price you pay and the amount of people this home sleeps, that’s not cool. Again, we absolutely loved our time here and all had a blast. But they seriously need to work on the cleanliness of this home, especially when charging that kind of cleaning fee.

Great beach access! Beds were comfortable, hot tub worked great. My only reason for not giving the cleanliness 5 stars was the coffee pot still had old coffee grounds in it from someone else. Otherwise the rest of the house was clean and taken care of. So really 4.5 stars

Ocean front is amazing

This house is dated but the ocean view is what brought us to it. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed except for a griddle, so no pancakes? Privacy was an issue in some of the bedrooms with patio doors that did not have blinds. The HVAC system worked and kept us comfortable on the main level but some upstairs bedrooms did get warm. The WIFI worked very well with many on it at the same time. There are many games and puzzles available. The living area is comfortable and can handle a larger group. It had cable and streaming TV in the living room and the main downstairs bedroom but we rarely turned it on. The best thing is the house is steps from the beach and all the beach activities you can dream up. We had a great time.

I love the house it’s perfect this is our 4th year there, I would recommend maybe a light curtain for the upstairs sliding glass doors so it’s not so bright in the morning. And maybe putting wood floors in the downstairs bedroom since the house is dog friendly so it will eliminate the pee smell.

House is getting old

Unbeatable location but the house needs upgrades. - No window coverings on some bedrooms. - Some of the mattresses were completely worn out. - The shower head in the shared bathroom was of the cheapest type and could not be pivoted. It just shot out water over your head.- The hall lights were very dim, it is something with the wiring we swapped bulbs to test this. Or there is a dimmer switch we could not find. Two hallways have the same issue.- We could not turn on the overhead lights in the living room, I think there is a remote for this that does not work.- The hot tub water was murky - There is only 1 coat hook for a house that sleeps 14. A few of the chairs became coat piles.

Property is mostly clean but as expected considering up to four dogs are allowed at a time. Male dogs have clearly marked all over the house where only other dogs would notice (IE: we didn’t notice but our dog certainly did). Manager offered to clean but it will take a deep professional clean that will probably require the goose off the market for a couple of days. Otherwise, very satisfied.The fireplace is a great touch for use in the winter but remember to bring your own firewood with you because it is not provided with the rental and is exceptionally expensive to purchase in town; spent about 40/day on firewood.

Would stay again

The house is nice and homey, great comfortable seating set up in the living room, the view and walk to the beach is amazing, and the hot tub is great. Highly recommend putting up a curtain rod for the rooms that face the ocean with sliding glass doors. It is uncomfortable not being able to have any privacy. Would absolutely stay here again.
