For even more excitement and entertainment, travel less than three miles north and find yourself in the heart of Daytona Beach with countless shops, bars, and restaurants, as well as the Daytona Beach Boardwalk, the Joyland Amusement Center, and Daytona Lagoon, a family-friendly water park. Surf's up in Ponce Inlet, just seven miles south! Along with incredible waves, Ponce Inlet is best known for Florida's tallest lighthouse and a marine science center with interactive exhibits, a boardwalk, an observation tower, and nature trails.

Great time!!

Amazing property! We enjoyed thoroughly. Only comment I would make is the code to get in the door was nine digits. I had to get my phone out every time because it was hard to memorize. Other than that, everything was perfect!

The worse vacation experience we have had renting a room at the Hawaiian. The ac vents appeared dirty and we were concerned there was mold in the room.The view was wonderful. The kitchen cabinets were hideous, falling apart and barely hanging on. There were a lot of extras like a humidifier, a heater for winter, fans, and sand chairs. The bathroom sink was slow to drain. The microwave was filthy. The drawers were flimsy and small so we didn't bother to unpack. The price was great. However, the code to enter was ten digits and you needed to be quick or you had to start over. Very difficult to be quick with ten digits! Took us at least three to five times and often caused us to panic when left standing outside. We had to take our phones with us even to go downstairs to the pool for fear of being locked out. For this very reason, we will never rent this room again. We live in St. Petersburg but come to the Hawaiian every year so this is very disappointing.

The balcony and view is the best part of this property. The room needs updating, kitchen is gross and there is a musty smell in the closet. Mold on hangers was worry some. The property manager is very attentive to needs when something is missing or mixed up though. The site and the view was amazing!

Spring Break Trip

I loved the cleanliness of the room, how the provide most of everything you need (except an airbag pump) which is not a big deal for us but may be helpful for the next person. Beautiful view and when I did have to call for assistance there wasn't a long wait, they were very nice and very helpful. My family will definitely be back!

20th anniversary vacation

The whole place was a little dated, but kept up with. Not a bad place to stay if you're not going to be in the room much, which we weren't. The balcony furniture was in desperate need of replacing, as at leat o e leg of everything was rusted off. Did have one cockroach, but only one that I saw. Great views of the ocean and the pool. Overall not bad for the money

Lovely view of ocean. Loved the bar height table and chairs. Towels and linens lovely.

Everything in the unit could use a little updating because of staining. The couch is faux leather and cracked and pieces of it come off every time you sit on it. It also smells bad. The towels and linens were lovely. The bed was comfy. Air conditioning wonderful.

Decent for the price

We thought the unit was clean and had a nice view. No WiFi and TV (bc of the WiFi) and no parking pass provided. Eventually got a new WiFi password from the front desk after multiple attempts with Vacasa and never received the parking pass (also after multiple attempts). Overall for the cost, it was decent. It is a nice view and clean.

quick getaway

The hotel is older, it was built in 1962. I liked the Hawaiian theme. The room was just as shown. It was clean and we had a wonderful time. The cost was reflected by the fact the pool was not available due to the hurricane damage. They were working on both the pool and the steps for getting to the ocean while we were there. This time of year September is great because there are no crowds at the restaurants and the ocean water temp. is great.

This listing stated the room sleeps a total of four. The pull out sofa couch was not fully functional. Due to wear and tear, part of it leaned down, creating an impossible sleeping situation, and we had to double up into one tiny section that did work. One of the plates I not in the cupboard was covered with mold. I was shocked. I wouldn't say it was just from moisture, moreso from not being washed after use. The kitchenette has mold along the cupboards. The shower water in this hotel burned my eyes. That had never happened to me before. This room was decorated nicely, but is in need of some serious updates. I also started to sneeze because the building is old and the air in there was not agreeing with me, causing allergies. I overall felt very sad in this unit. Plenty of other guests looked content, so either it's a me thing or there are other nicer rooms. I had to leave this place due to the lack of sleep from the slanted couch. I did get a partial refund but lost booking fees. Ocean view was nice.

Hawaii Inn #422 Daytona Beach review

We liked the property stay but a lot of issues was our concern. We had no linens for two and a half days no tv and the WiFi didn’t work they sent someone for the tv but he didn’t solve the problem it took us Sunday, Monday, and half the day on Tuesday and lots of phone calls to get the linens and requested for partial refund then they finally arrived at the front desk for us because we were out at the time. Hawaiian Inn #422 Daytona Beach, Fl. I don’t know how to make it any better for you. This is my review

Our stay

We took my mother in law who hasn’t been able to travel for some time now here. Pictures are not a reflection of what is there. Trash everywhere, no one wiping things down after people using them. I had to carry my own Lysol wipes and wipe chairs down by the pool. They did even have the chairs 6 feet from the next family/group. The smell of pot everywhere. The doors slam all hours of the night. The amount money I expected a little better. I have tried to call Vacasa but no return call yet!

Quaint little place!

Its not your ordinary placve to stay. The continued repairs the facility are slowly getting the place back to where it should be but it was a bit rough to be fair. The pool was a completely mess and wasn't disclosed. That wasn't the end of the world for our trip, we still had a great time there and will return again on a future trip. The unit is dated, but there is something nostalgic about it that made it more fun. The only warning I would offer is to bring a pair of slippers because the wind blows really fine sand into the unit and the floor is covered in it and you cant see it. Its just a feature of being in a room on the beach.

I really did love the view of the beach. That’s really about it…the view. I can’t express enough how dissatisfied I was with the room. The ac leaked and mold was present, walls needed a paint job, the furniture were old, the ceiling needed to be touched up. Basically, this room needs to be renovated. I contacted Vacasa about the ac leaking and they told me that they will be sending someone to look at it. That never happened. Afterwards, I looked at the reviews and someone had the same complaint 3 years ago. Rent from them at your own risk.
