About this property
Hyatt Prairie Mountain Cabin
Nestled in the quaking aspens, this log cabin is one of a kind. The cabin is next to Hyatt Lake, and is surrounded by alpine meadows. Please inquire as to the lake level, as it has been at record low levels due to dam maintenance. However it is currently (12/2023) at a good level and continues to rise! During the winter months, Hyatt Lake is a winter wonderland with a developed sledding hill with bathrooms, warming hut and fire pit. During the summer months, there is fishing, biking, hiking, and many outdoor activities. The PCT is 3 miles away. The home is located 35 minutes out of town. Ashland is home to the Shakespeare Festivals and other wonderful events. The adjacent cottage is also available in the summer months for an additional $75 per night plus cleaning. This has a queen bed, and a bathroom with shower. Simply advise us if you request this cottage, and we will adjust the amount total. Thanks! The home is a beautiful, family oriented, vacation home. Not a weekend party place. Please respect this, as that activity is not permitted. Thank you.

Hi Corey,
Thank you so much for staying at our cabin. It was truly a pleasure chatting with you, and I hope to see you and your beautiful family back again soon.
Absolutely amazing cabin! The location is perfect and the cabin itself is so cozy. We spent Thanksgiving there so we could see some family members that live in Ashland. We had an amazing time playing board games by the fire and taking walks around the lake. It was pretty cold at night, but the cabin was very well heated and we never felt cold while we were inside. My kids LOVED sleeping in the loft bedroom - the set up was perfect for our family! Overall, staying here was such a great and memorably experience. We would love to visit again!
We love Hyatt lake and this home is perfection, great facilities, lovely views, quiet, clean, comfortable. Hope to visit every year. Amazing birding and relaxation, reconnecting with friends without distractions. Easy access to Ashland for plays.

We love coming up to Hyatt Lake and staying at this cabin for our annual family trip to the snow. Lots of room to hang out and it’s just down the road for the sledding hill. David is a great host. We look forward to coming back next year.
Great location, right on the lake and within walking distance to sledding hill. Kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing games and sleeping in the loft.

Such a beautiful stay with some unexpected snow. Overall such a delight. I would be sure to check the specific location's weather due to elevation change.

Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, our weather can be a surprise at times, but the snow is beautiful. Cheers!
This was a beautiful and peaceful place that we all thoroughly enjoyed. The cabin was very clean and we were provided with everything we needed for our stay. The owners were great and communicated very well with us.
We would definitely book this cabin again!
Thank you so much!!
We had a very relaxing time at this beautiful property. The house has a wonderfully warm feel and was well stocked with everything we could need, kitchen included. The owner was very helpful to answer questions before the visit, and we had no need for any help during the stay. Definitely want to come back in the summer!

This cabin and its location are so relaxing and welcoming. Everything we could have wanted or needed were on site. Communication with the owners was clear and quick. We just never wanted to leave. This was our second stay and we can’t wait to return. Also, an item was left behind and the owner contacted us immediately and made arrangements for its return. We are beyond thankful for the kindness and generosity. Thank you!!

It was a pleasure hosting your family at the cabin. We’re so happy you made special memories here and hope to see you all again soon!
One of the nicer cabins we’ve stayed at. Cute decoration. Good kitchen, heated tile floors, and fireplace we didn’t expect to need in June.
Selection of games, videos, and cd’s.
Host was great to work with.

We are so glad you enjoyed our log home! Yes, June is fickle. We always get a June snowstorm! Please come back again, for the heat of July or August, or the 4-5 feet of snow in January. Thank you!
This cabin is dreamy. So lovely, quiet, adorable, functional, easy, we loved our stay. It is a bit of a drive outside Ashland, so plan better than we did and stay put mostly. We drove into town most days, and while not too far, it would have been more relaxing to stay put a few days. Gorgeous views, relaxing space, easy living. We hope to return.

About the host
Hosted by David Immen
We have stayed at this cabin for years, and fell in love with it from day one. We had an opportunity to purchase it, and are continuing to make it available for others to enjoy. Many of you have stayed here before and we hope you return! Randy was always helpful as the previous owner, and we plan on that same good service!
What makes this property unique
This truly is a year round playground! Summer time offers hiking and endless forest service roads to explore. Fishing right out the back door. Boating on Howard Prairie Lake just 3 miles up the road. In winter there is skiing of course at Mt. Ashland. Sledding and snowmobiling 1/4 mile away at the snow park, complete with warming hut and an outdoor fire pit in the snow. Just a few miles away, Green Springs Inn offers home cooked food and beverages for the kids and adults! Although this year, due to dam maintenance on both lakes, the water levels are extremely low! We are a pet friendly cabin! We have moveable dog runs, doggie paw towels at the door, and very friendly neighbor dogs, Jackson and Xena that may stop by! We do have a strict policy of no pets on beds or furniture, or upstairs, since that is the only place with carpeting and much harder to clean to the appropriate level for the next guests!
