About this property
The Losee House w/ sauna, No pets
Thank you for your interest in our newly renovated farmhouse. The Losee House (pronounced Lucy), is located 3 minutes from the Cooperstown Dreams Park and is less than 10 minutes from Cooperstown.
The Losee house was remodeled in 2019 to include 5 bedroom suites (4 with queen beds and 1 with 2 full beds), each with its own private bathroom (2 with tubs and 3 with walk-in showers). Each suite also includes a flat screen TV, individual temperature controls and a ceiling fan. We
also provide bed linens, towels, tissues and toilet paper.
The home also features a state of the art foodie kitchen located just off the entry. Appliances includes a Wolf range with 4 burners, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. A Wolf toaster and blender, a direct plumbed Keurig (no need to add water) and a 14 cup coffee maker. We also provide a crockpot, dutch oven, waffle maker, nutribullet, pots and pans, glass baking ware, kitchen aid stand mixer, dessert trays and pans, mixing bowls, hot air popper, plates, bowls, utensils and glassware for all. The kitchen is also fully stocked with paper plates, napkins, paper towels, garbage bags, dishwasher and dish soap, aluminum foil, ziplock bags, K-cups, sugar, flour, condiments, olive oil and a variety of herbs and spices.
Our extra-large porch includes an outdoor lounge space equipped with an outdoor flat screen TV, large ice chest and an outdoor dining table which seats ten comfortably. Outdoor entertainment options also include a stone patio with a gas grill (backup propane tank included), charcoal grill, and a firepit with seating for up to ten of your closest friends for those late night s’mores. We do provide paper starter, kindling wood and firewood to get you started.
Additional common space features include first floor laundry (with laundry detergent, softener and dryer sheets for your convenience), a first floor powder room, large living room (with a huge couch, flat screen TV, X-box, Playstation, and many board games). We also have a pac n play, high chair and baby gate upon request.
Losee House History
The farmhouse house was originally built circa 1849 by a Dutch family with the surname of Losee (pronounced Lucy). Between 2018 and 2019, our family was able to completely remodel the home, working to preserve and reuse as many original features as possible. Wood floors were saved downstairs and partly upstairs, while furniture pieces (shelves, end tables, coffee table, bar table and TV console) were custom built from original floor joists, stair stringer and
interior framing that was salvaged during the remodel. The home’s original doors were re-purposed to form each headboard in the bedroom suites, as well as a coat rack of door knobs in the entry. Finally, a horse shoe found during excavation has been hung over the door to bring good luck.
We hope that you find our farmhouse has everything, and more, that you will need during your stay.
From our family to yours, welcome to Cooperstown.
