About this property

Trout Retreat - Mountain, lake and river

A sunny warm fully furnished 4 bedroom house with an outlook to bush covered hills and Mt Pihanga. A very large living area that has open plan lounge, dining and kitchen. The TV has Freeview. A woodburner with plenty of dry firewood that keeps the house warm and french doors that open on to the deck in the summer for indoor/outdoor living. A heat pump for air conditioning in the summer and instant heat in the winter. The modern kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and coffee machine. There is a washing machine and dryer. Duvets, blankets and pillows are provided in each of the four bedrooms. A large section with off street parking ideal for families.

Walking distance to Turangi shopping centre and dining out.

NEXT DOOR TO "TROUT COTTAGE" IDEAL FOR FAMILIES HOLIDAYING TOGETHER, no fence between the houses.

Tokaanu Hot Pools and geothermal area is a 5mins drive. Boat launching ramp for the lake is 6mins drive. Taupo 40mins. Whakapapa ski field 40mins drive. 5mins drive from the famous Tongariro River for world famous trout fishing. 5mins drive to 18 hole golf course. An ideal base if you are going to walk the Tongariro Crossing, tramping, mountain biking (42nd Traverse), skiing, snow boarding, white water rafting or the many other activities the area provides. Great place

The Bach was tidy, well presented and we had a wonderful stay. However, we did struggle to get the dish washer to work, one of the heaters and some of the beds/mattresses were vey soft (time to replace I think). Thank you for sharing your wonderful place.

Trout retreat Turangi..

Great place to stay, just loved it! Only could do with a fulletting bench and would be great to have somewhere dry to put wet waders, coats and chilli bins stored away. Thanks so much, we would diffanitly come back. Cheers Sharron

We had the most amazing time exploring Turangi and Taupo. The accommodation was spacious and warm accommodating four adults and four children very well. The hosts were great with communication and the instructions were detailed and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

Property was gorgeous. Everything we needed was there, warm and extra blankets available. Would recommend and would stay again. Games should h the kids loved and so beautifully furnished. Clear instructions for everything.

Nice place to stay with friends and family

You rarely see a decent espresso machine in a bach, this one has it! The house has a great layout, it's warm and has everything travellers might need. Thanks for having us!

Fishing 2020

Great house in a great spot

Great house, all possible things provided in the kitchen etc. lovely touches like the fire set ready to light and the wood basket full. Plenty of space for our party of 4 adults and 4 children. Added bonus of being able to store our bike and racks in the garage. Def recommend and will hopefully be back.
