This was our first time booking a cottage and it was a great experience! My kids (age 6 and 9) had a great time. The cottage was clean and the lake was beautiful and quiet. I would definitely stay again! Meghan was lovely and even showed my kids the goats and sheep.

This was the perfect cottage for us, even though the weather didn’t cooperate. The lake is amazing and quiet, and the cottage is lovely - we couldn't ask for more.

It was a lovely cottage on a beautiful and quiet lake. We enjoyed exploring all the bays on Silver Lake and observed two loons and several gulls. This is a very private cottage. The facility in the cottage were first rate and the bed was very comfortable. To top it all off, our hosts came over and made music with one of us.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Meghan's cottage. The cottage was equipped with all that we needed and the dock on the waterfront proved to be the most peaceful place we've experienced through years of cottage renting. A bonus was that the prevailing breeze at water's edge was cooling on a hot day and also tended to minimize any insects. Very private cottage with occasional sightings of grazing goats.

The most peaceful rental we've ever had. It's far from traffic on a long gravel road. The lake is entirely free of motorized craft. It's a beautiful, well-equipped cottage. Although there's no wifi, the data access is excellent. It was a joy to see the small flock of sheep and goats foraging in the woods. The canoe and kayaks are in perfect condition, and it's a beautiful lake for paddling, with waterlilies blooming and wild, rocky shorelines.

Really well equipped cottage, set in the middle of a beautiful forest. Perfect in the fall when we stayed. Very serene and quiet, with occasional goat or hoarse sounds from a neighbouring farm. Absolutely idyllic. Would love to come back.

5 stars We had an amazing stay at this peaceful cottage retreat. The quiet location was exactly what we were looking for. The lake felt almost entirely ours to explore by kayak, and we were lucky enough to spot a bald eagle while paddling! Evenings were spent relaxing by the cozy wood pellet fireplace, and the well-equipped kitchen and BBQ on the deck made it easy to prepare all our meals.What made our stay even more special were the hosts. They were incredibly welcoming, taking time to show us around their beautiful farm and introduce us to their animals. They were also responsive and helpful throughout our stay, making everything easy and stress-free.The bed was comfortable and the setting was so quiet, it made for a perfect night’s sleep after days spent enjoying the outdoors. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway.

This was our first time ever renting a cottage and using Vrbo. This was a great experience. Can’t wait to do it again. The location is quiet and makes us feel a little remote, even though everything We need in sharbot lake is only about 15 minutes away. No motorized vehicles on the lake, make for paddling, a dream. I don’t think I have been able to relax as much as this in a long time. Meghan was great, got back to us if we had a question. The farm Nextdoor was a delight, if you heard the animals you were outside and the sound was faint and we enjoyed hearing them. The sunrises were so warm and a great way to start the day. Thank you again

We absolutely loved the cottage and the surroundings. The place is clean, well equipped, and well kept It is the deck and the dock that really stood out for us. We loved relaxing on both and we loved the peace and quiet of the place. As it is a no boat lake and no fishing lake there is a fantastic calm that you feel all the time.We’d recommend water shoes for swimming, but otherwise it’s fantastic. We read, we paddle, we swam and just had a fantastic relaxing time. We are planning to return again next year.

We really loved Meghan's cottege. It is located in very quiet area. You are in nature whole time. The cottage was clean and it had everything we needed.Mehgan communicated with us timely manner.We highly recommend this place to others who love nature and peaceful place.

Meghan is a consummate host. She answered each of my queries promptly and clearly. In short she didn't fail to be helpful. The location of the site couldn't have been more quiet or more private. The farm next door imposed no more presence than the appearance of a flock or sheep and goats who hopped out of the way without a murmur. The lake is shallow, so there are no motor craft, and there are very few other cottagers. We had the lake to ourselves when we went to the dock for a swim.This is a lovely spot for adults who like to savour nature in very peaceful surroundings.

A lovely spot to spend some time and such a pleasure to be on a quiet lake. Cottage was comfortable and well-equipped (including its bookshelves). Great communication from Meghan. Hope to come back again.
