This was by far the worst vacation rental experience my family has ever had. We arrived expecting a relaxing vacation, but instead found a property that was not ready or suitable for guests. The property appeared neglected, with tattered and worn rugs throughout the home that looked dirty and posed a tripping hazard in the garage. The garage, where recreational items were advertised, was covered in cobwebs, and many of the games and recreational equipment were broken, damaged, or unusable. These amenities were a significant reason we selected this property, and it was disappointing to find that they had not been maintained.More concerning, the air conditioning was not working. During the summer in Central Florida, a home without functioning air conditioning is simply not habitable, especially for a group of six adults and two children. The indoor temperature made it impossible to stay comfortably or safely. In addition, the pool access door alarm was not functioning. As someone traveling with children, this was an extremely serious safety concern. We were not comfortable allowing our family to remain in a home with an unsecured pool access point. We immediately reported these issues and attempted to work with the property manager. Unfortunately, because the conditions could not be promptly resolved, we were forced to leave the property in the middle of the night and find emergency accommodations. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property.
