The barking dogs across the street...ugh. The house itself was fine. Other than the strong floral smell in house and on linens I have no complaints

Pleasant, tidy, convenient little house. It’s not updated or glamorous, but there’s plenty of room to sleep, kitchen is functional, and you can watch the sun come up over the mountains.

Cute county house

The house was very cute and well equipped with kitchen items. The beds were comfy and the porch was cozy. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Stop

The house is right off the 77 but very quiet! We stopped on the way home for North Carolina. Lots of food options the next exit up. Very clean and remote. Happy we picked it!

We used this home as a half way layover on a trip and looked forward to the stay on the way back. Comfortable and clean. They have a fire pit with chairs so bring some wood. The host was easy to reach in the app and was very responsive.

Very convenient for attending a conference in Bluefield.

We 3 friends loved having our own rooms vs. sharing a hotel room for our weekend conference. We loved the comfortable spacious couch for talking time. Grateful!

Great place!

We stayed here for an overnight stop from Florida to Ohio and back. The house is clean and served it’s purpose well. Pack n play and high chair on site was helpful, less items for us to unpack. The backyard is private when exiting out the side door which works great with dogs across the street. Will stay again!

Perfect overnight stop on way to beach!!

This house is right off the exit on the way to the beach. It has plenty of beds. We just stayed one night. There was plenty of parking for several cars. This is the second time we stayed here. Anytime we go to the beach, this house will definitely be our stop over. It's reasonably priced, clean, comfy, and convenient.

Great stay

We had the best time staying in this house. It was a great space, very clean, and within 15 minutes of any place we needed to be. I’m he check in and check out process were both super easy, but be sure to save check in info on your phone in case you don’t have service (some of us did, some of us didn’t). Once we were in wifi, we had no issues. Highly recommend!

RENTER BEWARE, 6 LARGE DOGS ACROSS THE STREET THAT BARK ALL NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING. Hostess Ashley was terrible, waited 6 hours for answer that we had on using the garage and then her response did not include how to access the garage. We had planned a 4 night stay and after the first night with no sleep because of the dogs across the street barking from midnight to 2 am and then again at 5 am, we decided to leave . Told Ashley the problem and again did not hear back for hours from her. Asked for refund of unused days and of course a day and a half later finally hear back with a no refund. I highly recommend to STAY AWAY from this house. I rented 5 properties for the month and this is the only one that we had trouble with. Hostess was the worst in response time and also had no compassion about the fact we could not sleep because of there neighbors...House was mediocre at best . AGAIN I highly recommend to STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOUSE...WORST EVER

Hi there, Herb, I would like to highlight some points regarding your stay. You asked for an early check in, which I happily said yes to. After staying a night at the Cottage, you demanded a full refund because of dogs barking while refusing to cancel your stay. Since you refused to cancel your stay but also wanted a refund, I declined your request. You booked during a high traffic time and would not open up the Cottage to allow anyone else to book. Access to the garage is included in the welcome email you receive, and I would've happily given you that information again had you asked for it. Furthermore, yes, there are dogs that live across the street that bark sometimes when you are outside. They do not bark all night. I know this because I visited family the week before your stay, I'm a super light sleeper, and I didn't have any issues. Know that hosts also get to review their guests, and from the way that you treat your hosts, I also made sure that your future hosts will be aware of the implications of booking with you.

Thanksgiving Trip

This was a cute little house in the quiet secluded mountain. The house has much potential and very cozy. Only suggestion is to add a cutting board to the kitchen :) otherwise a very cozy, relaxing night after a long drive from Illinois. And the local art on display is awesome!! We purchased a piece ourselves!
