About this property

Our Guest House

Our Guest House is nestled in the quaint village of Lemont with a view of Mt. Nittany out the back door. Conveniently close to downtown State College and everything Penn State. Enjoy a hike up Mt. Nittany, coffee at Eden Valley or Cafe Lemont and/or dinner at Kamri Thai and Sushi House, Happy Valley Brewing or the Voodoo Brewery! It's all here. This cute cape cod was built in 1946 and has been completely renovated. A firepit and patio is available for relaxing outside.

The kitchen has recently been remodeled. It has soft white oak cabinetry, an antique butcher block island and a table that will extend for dinner! The kitchen is accented with local pottery. Throughout the house, local artists are exhibited.

The living room is spacious and bright! The den is off the living room and it is full of windows that look out to Mt. Nittany.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms are also set up each with a Smart TV.

If you have 6 or 7 guests coming, we will open up the basement for you to use, so you will have an extra bedroom, bathroom and living room for $100 extra cost for the weekend. The basement living space has a 74" TV and a foosball table.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Cheryl was a wonderful host and the home was amazing! We appreciated the binder of information providing local recommendations as well as a written history of the home, it personalized the experience. Cheryl and Will’s guest house is fantastic. It really is a home away from home. We are so grateful for their hospitality for four days. They were even kind enough to shovel and salt the driveway and walkway after a snowy, icy night. Truly our stay was wonderful. We’ll be back! Thank you!

Hi! My name is Cheryl and I am a mom of four boys and love all things outdoors. I have lived in State College for the past 25 years. I love people and especially to host people and when the opportunity came up to purchase and renovate the property next door to us, my family jumped on it. It was our Covid project and kept us busy for the year. We wanted to make it a space for families and friends to be comfortable so they can have quality time together. We have a dog and two kitties. Our dog (Gunner) is older, so he often is seen sitting on our deck. Our kitties, Calvin and Hobbes, roam about and may come to greet you. They are not allowed in the house:).

Why they chose this property

The beauty of this property is the gentleman that lived there for his whole life and the stories that came out of it as we neighbored together. The house is quaint and cute with backyard that is perfect for feeling like your just literally sitting at the base of Mt. Nittany. Our house is literally right next door, so we have had the opportunity to meet such incredible people from around the world through this!

What makes this property unique

The Guest House is close to campus and about 2 miles from Beaver Stadium and from the backporch area, it looks out to Mt. Nittany.

There is a lot of space to relax and just be together in this 1940s farmhouse! With its soft white oak cabinetry in the kitchen, lots of windows, local pottery and local artwork for you to enjoy.

On the first floor, there is a spacious living room, a beautiful den with lots of windows with a view of the property. The kitchen has a farmhouse feel with its white oak cabinetry, butcher block island and it’s accents of pottery.

The upstairs of the house has two large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and Smart TV. The laundry is also located upstairs.

Outside is a patio and fire pit to enjoy. A short distance away from the house is a playground for young children to enjoy!

We live next door. We have a big yellow lab (Gunner) and two cats (Calvin and Hobbes) that will often be out and about! Sometimes, they will want to greet you if they can. They are not allowed in the house:)!
