The Bird house



The Bird house is right in the middle of the areas best attractions. It sits only 3 miles from Little River Canyon. While being only 4 miles away from DeSoto State Park. This cabin is perfect for a couples romantic retreat. Single bedroom, one bath cabin. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a balcony leading out of the bedroom that overlooks the beginning of a 20 acre wooded lot. A custom large walk In shower with a clear glass door. Nicely decorated throughout and has a very warming feeling as soon as you walk in. Its fully stocked with kitchen utensils and pans. The cast iron skillets are to be used if you wish as well. We have a charcoal grill on the porch for those who like to cookout. The HOT TUB is a favorite among guest, perfect mood to light up the large outdoor firepit at night and sit back in the private hot tub, such a romantic and relaxing experience. The cabin sits at the front of a 20 acre lot that puts you right at natures door step. Great phone service and you can be in town within a 8 minutes drive. We are very close to Weiss lake at 17 minutes, Fort Payne reservoir at 10 minutes and Dekalb County lake at 20 minutes. So bring those boats and kayaks for some great fishing.


We are very communicative and will happily guide you to the areas best attractions whether it be Restaurants, Fishing, Hiking, Malls and so on. We love to help.

This was the perfect place for my solo vacation. The house was clean and had everything i needed. I took full advantage of the hot tub and fire pit every night I was there. It was super close to Desoto State park and Little River Canyon, which is where i went hiking. It is also super close to Mentone and I visited there as well. The hosts were super helpful about restaurant recommendations and where to find fire wood. 10/10. Have been recommending it to everyone i know.

The Birds Near was super cozy and comfortable.All the basic amenities were provided. The location was perfect. Tucked away and secluded for ultimate privacy.Only complaint I would have would have to be the water that leaked from the hottub and onto the concrete slab.

I'm not sure what you would mean from water leaking from the hot tub? It doesn't leak a drop. Once you get out of the tub and on the slab it could get wet dripping off of an individual but the tub itself definitely doesn't leak.

Great little cabin with a very communicative host. The location is private enough that you can get away without dealing with others. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The wifi worked perfectly as did the AC. If a smaller place to stay near Fort Payne is what you're looking for, you won't go wrong with The Bird House!
