Come to relax, work or play at this beautiful lakefront / waterfront home located in Belmont, NC - just outside of Charlotte. #lakewylielivin for our Insta tag!

We offer both short term and discounted longer terms stays! Send us a message for any interest in longer term discounted rentals!

Over 200ft of shoreline nestled into a deep-water cove and located towards the end of a private road ensures privacy and tranquility. A great spot to enjoy the outdoors and wake up to a beautiful sunrise every single morning.

This 2100 sqft home offers 3 full bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 full workstations including monitors, docking stations and high speed internet.

NO PARTIES OR EVENTS ALLOWED

The home has 3 bedrooms (K, Q, Q) 2 of which have folding twin beds stored for extra sleepers. The main living area features 2 pull out queen sleeper sofas and there is another full pull-out couch bed in the office.

The office and master bed have remote working stations setup for your use. They both feature monitors and docking stations and high-speed internet.

The garage/game room area contains a ping pong table, foosball table and 2 player Pop-a-Shot basketball games! Cornhole and other yard games are available for your usage as well.

The outdoor space features covered upper and lower decks with seating areas, rocking chairs and a big back yard that overlooks the water with amazing sunrise views to enjoy your morning coffee.

Relax in the hammock, roast smores while sitting around the firepit, use the gas grill for a nice cookout and enjoy the floating dock and small beach that provides access to the water.

There are 2 adult fishing kayaks, 2 children’s kayaks, 2 standup paddleboards available for you to use.

Pontoon/Tritoon boats may also be rented based on availability (separate charge)- host may need to access property for boat with advanced communication to guest on rare occasions.

House Rules:

No Parties, strictly enforced
5 Cars maximum - driveway parking only
10 people MAXIMUM at the property
Absolutely no smoking or vaping in the house
No illegal substances, firearms or fireworks allowed on the property
Quiet Time is 11pm - please respect our neighbors
Only a single dog, under 50lbs is allowed with approval.

SEPTIC: This property is on a septic system - no feminine products or wipes of any kind (including flushable) can be flushed down the toilets. These products cause harm to the system and result in clogged pipes.

ALL USE OF THE LAKE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. THERE ARE NO LIFEGUARDS.
1. Use at your own risk – property owners accept no liability for any loss of any kind once you enter into a body of water or proceed past the shoreline.
2. Children. No child under the age of 18 may use the lake (e.g., for swimming, boating, fishing, or wading), unless they are supervised by an adult who is capable of providing emergency assistance.
3. Life jackets must be worn at all times when on the lake.

Fantastic lake house/property

Serene lake getaway

This house is beautifully nestled on the Catawa River and offers a peaceful, private beach getaway that our entire group enjoyed. Fantastic week

We had our family stay here for the week and trailered our pontoon over from Raleigh/Cary. Especially enjoyed the backyard, the massive decks and the dock, beach area - all are really well done with plenty of space! Great property and the house was clean and well managed. Pre school getaway

My family including my in-laws stayed at the house, it was perfect with the kayaks and paddle boards available. House was well equipped and nicely decorated, felt like a home.

Perfect Fall Getaway!

I visited EllaJo’s with my 75 year old grandmother and 2 teen boys for a little fall getaway. The house exceeded all of our expectations and Michael was great to work with! The house was very clean and well stocked, once we arrived we had no interest in leaving again. Can’t wait to return!

Spent four nights here with our kids and grandkid. Everything was perfect. Owner is very detail oriented, he has thought of everything. We had easy access to the lake and was even able to bring our boat and use his dock. We hope to come back here again

You Won’t Be Disappointed

Awesome place. Awesome location. Very clean property. Great yard with fire pit. Mike was very helpful and put me in contact with a friend that rented us a pontoon. Everyone loved it. Took boat to Popa Doc’s restaurant on the lake. We’ll definitely be back. Like I said, you won’t be disappointed.

Quintessential Lake House

The house is everything you think of for a lake vacation. It was cute, cozy and well -stocked with lake access and plenty of room to relax. We rented a boat that was delivered to the dock, and my kids were out all day tubing and swimming. S’mores and grilling at night or we also went into downtown Belmont which has lots of restaurant options. Mike was so nice to deal with and very responsive. I highly recommend this property!

Very Nice Place and Experience

The owner obviously cares about their guests and goes the extra step to make sure that they are welcome, comfortable and well cared for. Great location on the water, with a variety of porches to enjoy the view; very well cared-for property; very well equipped in terms of water and land sports, including life preservers for the paddle board & kayacks; comfortable beds; excellent wifi; house has all the spaces and views someone might want or need; even included adequate paper towels and toilet paper, dish and laundry detergent--We brought all that stuff, but we didn't need it, because the owner provided it. We thought we were treated very well. No nickel and diming here--first class all the way.

Relaxation at the Lake

We really enjoyed all the spaces for everyone to enjoy and not be on top of eachother. The palddle boards and paddle boat were used alot. We found a rope swing across the lake and had fun swinging out into the lake. We also rented the pontoon boat abd highly recommend that if you stay here. The house was clean and had all the towels, beach towels, hair dryers, cleaning items you will need. The only suggestion is to bring a first aid kit. Someone in our group cut their leg and we didn't have anything with us. Other than that - no complaints!

Perfect house for family time at the lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ella Jo’s and would recommend it to any family looking for space to unwind and play. We enjoyed the many water toys, meals on the back deck, ping pong, and relaxing together in the family room. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The entire house is welcoming with tasteful decor. Mike was extremely responsive and attentive.

Lake Front Retreat

The house is lovely and being so close to the water made for a relaxing trip. We had fun exploring the lake on the provided kayaks and lounging on the many seating areas. My only suggestion would be to fix the hammock as it was at a very steep angle and wasn’t the most comfortable to sit in despite me trying many positions. Overall amazing house, close proximity to airport and cute downtown area with bars and food. Would absolutely come back again!

Great, relaxing location and stellar home

We loved our time at this property! Mike was extremely communicative and helpful. The kids loved the foosball and pop-a-shot in in the garage and they had cornhole and oversized Jenga for yard games. We used the kayak and SUP on the lake by the house where it was quite calm. A new backyard deck had just been built and it was wonderful to sit out there and relax. The house was really clean and had everything we needed. It was even nicer than the pictures and perfect for our family of 4.

Loved everything about EllaJo's Lakefront Escape

We had a wonderful stay at EllaJo's Lakefront Escape on Lake Wylie and will be back! The house was pristine and had everything we could have wanted and more! The basketball game in the garage was a huge hit with our son and we had a great time on the lake with the provided paddle boards and kayaks. The beds, towels, and linens were in perfect condition as well as the living room sofas. The host, Mike, was very helpful and genuinely wanted to make our stay comfortable and memorable! There was a Harris Teeter grocery store minutes from the house as well as a brand new Chick-Fil-A and several other food options. The grill was in great shape and we used it to cook a couple of meals. The kitchen had everything we needed and ample pantry space. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return!
