Welcome to the mountains! While you enjoy the beautiful wildlife, including deer, fox, squirrels, birds and occasionally a bear, please be aware of the following:

Poison Oak: Wear long pants and sleeves and avoid touching unfamiliar plants within the thick of the property and the surrounding mountain country.
Bugs and Insects: Wear insect repellent to protect against bites.
Ticks: Check for ticks regularly and wear long sleeves and pants.

As with many nostalgic items in our home, we have an antique candy machine that offers two different styles of candy (nut free). They will only deliver candy if you insert quarters.

Safe and easy 10 min walk to the Gasquet Market from the cabin where you will find all your basic essentials.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
All heaters and fans turned off. If you changed the outside lighting, make sure all 3 are set to “Dusk to Dawn.” Leave all bedding on beds. Leave all dirty towels hanging up in one of the bathrooms.
Load and start the dishwasher (make sure the dishwashing switch on the wall is on. If it is off, the dishwasher will not work). Detergent is under the sink.
Take all your food items (even condiments) with you.Make sure you turn off all lights and lock all doors, windows and sliding doors prior to leaving. Thank you!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No Pet/Animal Policy: Due to allergies and severe health concerns, this home has a no pet/animal policy. Owner must be notified if bringing an animal.
No smoking and/or vaping inside the home. No unregistered guests at any time. No playing on tree house. No Parties or Events. Quiet hours: 10pm-8am
Due to several stairs, this home is not recommended for children under 5. Security Measures: for your safety there are exterior security cameras.

Perfect base camp

We came for the BoatSmith whitewater festival. Gasquet is the perfect location to access the beautiful forks of the Smith River and the cabin is spacious and comfortable.

We had such a lovely time. We came to see the redwoods, and wanted to stay in the trees rather than a condo or hotel in town. This place had everything we needed and was very clean. We enjoyed watching the birds and doing lots of hiking / visiting beaches within a 2 hour drive. We stocked up on groceries about 25 mins away.

Peaceful Cabin in a great location.

We enjoyed everything about this cabin. Beautiful landscaping. Peaceful location. Enjoyed feeding the birds on the deck, smoking some food, exploring the property. Comfortable bed. Extemely clean. Internet was spot on. Host had excellent communication.
