Cabin was very clean and all beds were comfortable. Our two families really enjoyed our stay. The A/C kept us cool during the hot summer days. Nice location. Would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful weekend in Arnold. The house was great, good size, comfortable beds and clean. Centrally located with easy access to the market, the Blue lake springs pool/lakes and the big trees. The kids loved being able to get away for some much needed family time. The host had great communication and did all she could to make us comfortable...thank you for a wonderful weekend away!

There was a heater issues the first night but the hosts refunded us and drove down to get it fixed the next day. I appreciate the hospitality and their ability to fix it however it was uncomfortable and cold the first night. There was a bit of cleanliness issue, some bedsheets did have stains, hopefully they will work on that and get it fixed. one drawer in kitchen had prescription medication. I didn't think it was as clean as it should have been. overall nice design of cabin for family trips. could be a little cleaner.. we wore our shoes through out because floor didn't feel clean especially in carpeted areas.
We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. Originally we were coming with our family of 4 (2 kids) and my in-laws and their dog, but due to the crazy snow we had to reschedule and it ended up just being our small family. The owner was great at communicating with us and awesome about accomodating the change in dates. We had a lovely stay. Our family comes to Arnold a lot with friends for skiing and summertime hiking and I don't know how we haven't stayed here before. This cabin has all the things that I look for in a good vacation rental: enough space, good beds/linens, well-stocked kitchen (coffee maker! decent knives!) and not managed by a large company. The upstairs loft was nice for the kids, having space to romp and toys. Our family watched a movie and there was a popcorn machine, too. A first for us. I almost don't want to write this review and to keep this place a secret. :) Thanks for your hospitality S family. If you ever want to sell, lemme know, ha ha.
We visited Arnold for the first time last weekend with our 3.5 year old Daughter and our puppy. The house was perfect for us all! Our Daughter loved playing upstairs in the loft, and was thrilled to find the toys and games that were provided, and enjoyed looking through the vast DVD collection. (There are also baby items like a pack & play and high chair, and kid friendly dishes.) Elizabeth shared great tips on local restaurants and areas to play in the snow. Although, there was plenty of snow right at the house! She even had snow toys and sleds available for us to borrow. The neighborhood was very quiet and within walking distance to Snowshoe Brewery. Elizabeth's welcome binder was great - very detailed and included parking passes to Sno Parks and the Recreation Center, along with menus and brochures for local places.
Perhaps our favorite thing was the hot chocolate spoons and snacks she left out for us. My Daughter loved drinking "fancy" cocoa out of the cute bear mugs!
Elizabeth was easy to contact and responded quickly, and made our trip so smooth and welcoming. This is a perfect spot for a family getaway!

About the host

Hi, I’m Elizabeth…. along with Gregory, Emery, Grant and Declan and we want to welcome you to our family cabin. We took a leap of faith and purchased our family cabin when we should have been renovating our two-bedroom house to accommodate our family. What’s the saying…”You only live once!” And here we are enjoying spending as much time in Arnold as we can fit into our scheduled. Unfortunately we can’t spend as much time as we’d like to with our full time jobs in the Bay Area and three young kids busy with school activities and sports so we are opening it up to share our little piece of the mountains with you. We do make time to enjoy the winter and summer activities Arnold and the surrounding area has to offer. Our favorite pastime is hanging on the deck as a family playing cards while Greg handles the barbeque. We hope you enjoy the peace and serenity Arnold has to offer!
