Urban living deluxe

Clean and comfortable corner condo with lots of windows. Great having 24/7 security at the door and they were always friendly and helpful. Condo was well-supplied with kitchen wares and linens as well as abundance of paper goods, cleaning supplies and detergents. A major glitch on check-in occurred when the unit was not ready on time for us because the previous renters did not leave on time. The prop mgr communicated well with us but it was a real hassle. We also did not realize the TVs were all ‘smart’ so again the prop mgr needed to aid us. They really were available by text/phone at all times. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk-ability of the area for restaurants, bars, retail, everything necessary. Also, it was just a short walk to public transport so our car stayed in the underground lot for days. We did not use the roof deck as much as we expected but the views from there are terrific.

A Christmas to remember

We had a fabulous stay at this Urban Sands San Diego condo. My wife and I stayed for a month between the middle of December to the middle of January over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. The VRBO condo was in the perfect location in downtown San Diego. Our daughter and her husband live nearby so we were able to spend Christmas with family. It is close to many downtown bars and restaurants. It is adjacent to the Gas Light district and very close to Little Italy. Coronado Island is just a 15-minute drive away as well. We loved Nick the Greek down the block and Basic Pizza on the corner. The condo itself had absolutely everything we could want or need. Every last little detail has been thought of. From dishes to cookware to utensils to a huge TV in each room to the balcony and the very comfortable beds, we were grateful to stay here. The pictures in the VRBO listing are exactly what you will get when you stay here. There also is a rooftop deck that overlooks the Petco stadium and on New Year's Eve there were fireworks that we could see from there. In addition, there are grills that we used to have a meal up there. The view of downtown San Diego and of Coronado Island especially at sunset is amazing. The Urban Sands hosts are extremely responsive to any concerns or needs that you might have. They answer their messages within a few minutes to a half hour at most. We recommend this VRBO highly. We would definitely stay here again. You can't go wrong with this one!

Perfect Condo in the heart of San Diego!

Our family of 5 stayed in this amazing condo in downtown San Diego. Although it has 2 full bedrooms, the couch pulls out into a full size bed so someone slept there as well. Such an amazing place, with so much to list... - Perfect location in the middle of downtown, but just a couple blocks from Gas Lamp district, so you can sleep quietly at night. Everything was within walking distance. We even turned in our rental car and walked, Uber'd, or even grabbed a Lime scooter to go everywhere. - Building is across the street from Petco Park, so it was awesome to watch and listen to San Diego Padres games each day. The stadium is visible right from the balcony, with the option to go to the roof top of the building for full field viewing if wanted. Those were super fun. - Feels (and is) very safe and secure. There are security guards in the lobby every day and night, secure underground garage for parking, and even secure keyfobs to operate the elevators to go up to your house. Overall it felt very safe with our children. - Everyone we encountered was very nice and happy to help, including the other tenants. - Excellent full/complete Gym. I worked out every morning and looked forward to it, as the gym is basically a full working gym. And hardly ever saw other people. Out of the entire time we were there, I never encountered more than 2 other people working out at the same time. - The property management company was super responsive and quick to help out if needed. Overall, I cannot recommend this home enough. The view is gorgeous, with floor-to-ceiling windows, especially into the evening. The TVs, kitchen supplies, and furniture are top-notch and clearly newer and cared for. Not to mention the furniture seems all very new, clean, and comfortable. Our family has all agreed we would love to come back to this house any time we're in town!
